  1. Everyone should go into their profiles and update their info. I am sure most of your custom settings from the old site went back to the default in the transfer.
  2. I found mine at Ace hardware FWIW but assuming that Testors runs their company like most others that manufacturer products I would think their is a slim to none chance that they would keep these both labeled as #2546 if the actual color changed and not just the name. From an inventory stand point alone it is a tracking nightmare, it's hard enough to track batch numbers as it is. Any actual change to any product specifically it's color usually requires a new number as well. More than likely they found the description "Argent" meant next to nothing to anyone under the age of thirty or not involved with classic cars and that "metallic" was a better modern description understood by all.
  3. I have noticed this as well so it wasn't personal towards anyone, I'm sure everyone who has been here a while has lost stuff, even me. I am sure it was not an easy or smooth conversion to do, I would expect some growing pains and probably for a while as well, this is going to take stages to be 100% operational without a full time IT staff on duty. Everyone's biggest and pretty much only issue was the constant SPAM (I'm guessing right now that doesn't seem too bad to some). As I see it first priority was to move things over and get things up and running over here ASAP. Next is to fix all the things that are missing or didn't make it over cleanly. Then we can move on to functionality, making things more like they were where we can. Finally, cosmetics, colors, themes, nice to haves etc... That's why Ben started this thread, just list things (any things) as you notice them and they will go on a check list, get prioritized and then ticked off one by one as time allows. Just to put it in some perspective, I have been here 10 years now, almost since the very start. I have probably the highest post count at 7,832 yet I can only recall my last 137 posts or so dating back about a year. That's a whole lot of missing history. My guess is because the content was so massive that they probably had to start from a date like a year ago and then archive the rest or it would have taken a lot more than 2 days. I know Sparky inquired about a thread of his that was archived and with a link I could undo it but I have not found where all the archives might be stored yet to see what else can be released.
  4. I do recall back in the day when these were on daily drivers that some folks complained about fogging on the inside as the seal wore or hardened over time, I would think these days though that most of our cars won't be subjected to harsh elements anymore. Unlike most people I was actually glad my car was a non tach car because I always wanted a hood tach.
  5. I don't know Ridge, you look pretty organized to me, especially for 6 doors.
  6. Ben, can you elaborate on option 1 a little? I don't see a mass album download option in the drop down.
  7. Not a coupe but look up Ridge Runners project thread, he has a really cool fiberglass package tray that I have never seen before, looks very retro Shelby cool like his early cars.
  8. I purchased one of the first Scott Drake repro's back in '06 when they first came out, these were black with choice of a white or black face so not sure if this all white one is made by someone different or not. Looks different but could have been an inline change by them or different vendor. Mine came with a template to drill the holes but not for exact placement. We have had several original owners here who ordered the tach from the trans am catalog through the dealer and installed upon delivery. As most things like this exact placement varied slightly and it also depends on the options you have as well. For example on a ram air hood I've seen the back edge lined up with the back edge of the shaker, on the mach scoop I have seen the front edge lined up with the back edge of the scoop. To me the most important thing is you want to start with it in a good place on the hood that is easy to see when you want then you might want to make some adjustments side to side depending on where that falls over the under hood bracing and lastly you want to make sure that it is far back enough that it doesn't contact the windshield or anything when opened. All of these taken into consideration really limit the overall placement options. Here's a pic of mine, I added the Ford logo myself.
  9. When you do this now and see "view result" also note that over to the right a faded down arrow appears, if you hover over that and click on it a preview pane extends with a similar effect.
  10. The colors were chosen from the China office, we asked for Ford Corporate Blue. ;) Although it is not as much of an issue these days I wish I had the ease of which to Ban like on the old site. I could click on one post within a thread as "delete as spam" and it would give me the option right there to delete all other posts by this user and choose to Ban in an all in one setting. I didn't have to go to Admin CP and look up the member to do it. Other than that I have noticed most of what has already been posted already. We have zero smilies too, not always a bad thing though.
  11. I like the '69 look better but other than that my build has been along the same lines, the theme as I call it is "stock at a glance". I do have the Shelby trunk and end caps, I got mine from Maier Racing and out of the box fit was actually pretty good but because I was keeping my stock tail panel I had lots of labor to do on it anyway. One trick I used to make fitment easier was to add some adjustable late'80's early '90's bumpers to the underside, this made dialing it in easier. I have quite a few pic's on my gallery page.
  12. Sounds like you have what you need. One comment on the inner wheelhouse, you do know that you have to beat that down flat with a BFH right? Ford didn't make a convertible specific one but the top wont retract if you leave it in perfect condition.
  13. I had originally purchased mine to do some interior touch up but 2 summers ago my wife complained that the letters and numbers on the mailbox were unreadable, all the white washed off and it was all the black background color. These were really good hard stamped metal and not just a cheap sticker so I cleaned them all and decided to use my pen on them, they still look the same as the day I did them and that is outside 24/7. If anything it may be a bit more matt but that's it, still silver.
  14. Yes, only for just over a year though. The front bumper in my sig is blocking the plate with a CARS smiley but that picture was taken there. I lived in Flower Mound and worked in Irving from 2/2001 until 4/2002.
  15. Hey Ben, Was that a change made across the board for everyone? I saw a few complaints in other threads about not being able to post up pic's but I hadn't noticed if they were before this update of yours or after.
  16. Oh man, ya just had to do this right. All right, I'm in, maybe the embarrassment will force me to do something about it but it's just been too long since I have been able to work on my car.
  17. Try searching the Mustang Monthly website, I am sure they have covered this. Also try an online search, I just plugged one into Bing for "'69 mustang how to install quarter glass" and saw at least 4 you tube videos pop up and numerous articles from Mustang sites.
  18. Either I am the only one reading it correct or the only one reading it wrong but I see it as a 2 hour shutdown only and late at night?!?!?!
  19. Boy, do I wish my one car garage was that clean! I'm going to have to look into that MaxJax lift, I still have to put the tranny and exhaust back on, that alone would pay for itself.
  20. X2 on all the above. @Fantastic, how is the shop not liable for a car that disappeared from their property? I would not be taking that one lying down.
  21. I obviously like '69 vert's as well but the "tumor" is what gets this one on this page. That's just all kinds of gobbled up ugly.
  22. For what it's worth I'm not wealthy or gifted (not this way anyway), I was lucky to start with a 100% rust free car though so less insanity was required.
  23. Yeah, I have some on mine too like the below. The first few pages of the original thread were outdated links mostly from e-bay until we started to post the images directly in the thread for posterity.
  24. If you are using the "Reply to this topic" button at the top right hand corner or the "more reply options" at the bottom right you should see the attachment box just below the window you are typing in and above the add reply button. Like This: If anyone has something different please take a screenshot and post it. I may have to open a newbie account myself to see what you guys are seeing.
  25. I took a good look thru your site when you posted the above link, I couldn't find what your plan for it is though? Someone obviously went thru a lot of trouble to add so much '70 stuff to it, the ignition key placement and quarter scoops were like the only sign it's really a '69 and it looks like you are going with 70 quarters now from what I saw. Aside from some of the Shelby fiberglass is the plan to keep it looking like a '70?
