Ok Its MY rant about people who do not follow thru or do not read your ad completely.
When you post something for sale and are as honest with your description as you can be because if your not what do you say when they show up and look at it?
You get responses that they have cash in hand then they want to do check or wire transfer, WTF!
Then you get someone who says they want it and will be in touch, please do not sell t to someone else.
So you pull your ad waiting for them to come or call for a week and no reply.
So you re post your ad only to have them email you saying I thought you were selling it to me?
 
Am I losing it or was my ad not clear enough?

Well lets look a what Ford did when they started dropping higher Hp/Tork engines in these cars.
They did reinforcing! It is a better to have it then need it later when your tork twists the sub frame out of wack.
As you stated your waiting on parts an the space is open to make the install easier. So do it now and not have to restraighten the frame rails later and do it then.

Well I understand your wish to have a trophy to place on the shelf showing all of your work was not in vain, But it is nothing but a dust collector after about a week.
 
Your problem is like mine, its neather all stock or fully modified so it has No Class to be judged in.
Like the last show I went to, When reg at the table the fellow wanted to know what class I wished to be placed in?
My response was the No Class one as I did not care. I just wanted a up front parking spot for my car so it was safe from the parking lot dings.
 
Its like listening to the remarks of one fellow about how this wasn't correct or that wasn't done right I asked to see his car so I can see where I could make improvements to mine. His response was I don't have one!  So his comments were His take on what it should be.
 
I explained that this is MY car and it is built for what I wanted to do with it, It is not trying to show a factory correct (boring) car nor is a overtly modified car with all the new age electronic crap. It is period correct of what we did to our cars back then with a limited budget working at the pizza joint. (yes my age show it along with the gray hairs) The idea is old school like the driver, It is built to have fun in not pull it out of a trailer and dust it off for shows and put it back in later before the dew has a chance to fall on it.
Like the last show where I got dinged for 2 dead bee's on the radiator and lost to the trailer queen next to me by 4 points, Hell I had just drove 450 miles in her to get to the show while the other guy just backed out of the trailer and parked.
 
My point is the only one needed to be satisfied is the owner.

Best be is get the Ford Sop manual set, Its five books plus the wire diagrams that will show you everything about your car.

Just from the pic's you posted, You will have 3x the asking price just to make it roadworthy and safe.
Keep looking, it took me 0ver 8 yrs to find a really good body.

It can be held for an extended time without problems like waiting for stoplight or traffic to clear.
But using it for parking will be a constant draw on your battery if you have it wired direct. Not wiring it direct it releases when key is off.
If you want a hyd parking brake you can plumb in a valve for that to the rear brakes.

Rebuild the 750 and check the main jet sizes as they may have been changed and are too large for your eng spec's.

Well your worried about the GT stripe pretending, what about the Grande rocker?
Sometimes less is more, The Cragers and wheel well trim with black wall tires make a statement.
For stripes, consider some highlighting pin stripping down the sides.

Change the stat to a 180 degree and slow the coolant flow down. A 160 will be fully open at all times not allowing your rad to do its job correctly.

I have 3 different bypass switches on my 70. It depends on your set up which will work best for you.
1. Kill switch for starter. Will not stop jumping at sol but will slow some down.
2. Ign feed switch. Kills power to the coil. May take longer to figure out why it won't stay running.
3. Ign ground that kills power from coil to dist. Again wll take some time to figure that one out too.
All these and it will not stop a tow truck from removing it from a parking spot.

Weight wise we should be about the same, I did try and give her frontend a reduction by changing intake, water pump, ac comp to aluminum but seem to have added pounds with the scatter shield and a few minor parts.
From the pic's posted, Yes its just my thoughts it looks like the old springs would be your best chance to get to the level your after. It looks like they are better made to sit in the pocket and spring perch.
Letting it sit overnight is nice, but it needs to move to allow everything to settle in place. Your 1/2 inch difference could change with a short spin around the block.
 
Ps. After studying the photos more I can see what the problem is......The garage is TOO clean!
