Power steering hoses

Recommended Posts

Has anybody have a pic of the routing of the power steering hoses , pressure and return.

Mainly the underside where they go from the direction valve to the pump.

Thanks.

Aftermarket power steering hoses do not fit nearly as well as Ford original hoses.  Especially the hoses from the control valve to the hydraulic cylinder.  If you can get Ford or something made with Ford tooling that would be a better choice than generic aftermarket.

Also, make certain you have the correct support bracket and rubber insulator that supports the hoses from the pump to the control valve.  This prevents those hoses from sagging down too low.  It mounts to the frame near where the drivers side lower control arm attaches to the frame.  There are a few different types of support bracket depending on the motor in the car.
