I remember Sunoco gas stations in Ohio had 94.

Back in the 1960's and '70's the Sunoco stations sold Sunoco 260 and I think it was 98 octane. Leaded. Ran it in my jet boat. BB Chevy with 12 1/2:1 compression. No problems.   Dave R.

My R-Code came with a 3.50:1 open rear.  So when I rebuilt the rear, I added traction-lock and changed to 3.73:1 AND built up a sturdy AOD for improved cruising mileage.  Can't wait to see how so performs on the street.  The conversion was cheaper than Gear Vendors a conversion.  B.

I have looked at the gear vendors unit might give me the best of both worlds has a stall converter in it.

The car is coming along nicely , just want it to perform good and blow my buddies 427 Camaro off.

Plenty of 98 here and the oil companies want you to buy it.
