Vintage 69 Stang chase scene

Recommended Posts

Those dipsticks in Hollywood still don't give a crap about cars.

I read somewhere that the studios keep a stable of stunt cars that they paint up to suit their needs and then repair and re-use them. So they don't really have to acquire and demolish a concours 1949 Cadillac in a gangster movie, for example. They just pull out the '49 Caddy shell, put a fresh coat of high gloss black paint on it and it looks real to the camera. I don't know if it's true but it kinda makes sense..Still, in 1977, they could have easily trashed a real '69 boss 302, which is a cryin' shame if that's what they did....
