Alan_Mac 48 Report post Posted January 11, 2014 TCP make very good sub frames
Wycked69 20 Report post Posted January 11, 2014 We went with the "Tin Man" sub-frame connectors. Heavy duty and fit well. I don't see any sub-frame connector having much effect unless their welded in

390mach1 49 Report post Posted January 14, 2014 Yeah I'd like to buy a pair that tuck nice up to the floor as well.
MustangGT 11 Report post Posted January 14, 2014 Put "Tin Man" on mine (welded). With the underside painted they look like they were there from the beginning. They huge the underside nicely.
PaleRider 12 Report post Posted January 15, 2014 +1 on tin mans - have used twice now on 2 different 70s. Nice fit and definitely noticeable. Cars felt more solid.
Thunderscrash 10 Report post Posted January 17, 2014 I have some simple bolt on ones, not sure of the brand but I've been thinking about getting these Detroit speed ones. The go through the floor as well to add extra rigidity. Has anybody used these, good bad? http://www.detroitspeed.com/1964-1970-mustang-products/010105-subframe-connectors.html
69NC 21 Report post Posted January 18, 2014 Another +1 for Tin Mans. They fit the frame really well, and weld in very nice. Here is the write up on my install: http://www.theracg.com/2012/10/seat-pans-and-the-subframe-connector/
j69302 11 Report post Posted January 18, 2014 (edited) Maier Racing's. I went with their They have the only connector which welds into multiple places extending past the gap between the factory sub frames which eliminates a flexible joint and forms a "truss" that transmits load to the entire frame rail instead of just the seam it's welded at. I can lift the front and back wheels of the same side, off the ground by just having a jack under on front control arm mount. http://www.maierracing.com/pnms2201.html Edited January 18, 2014 by j69302
