Tr3yfords 69 coupe

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to say thanks for all the advice and ideas. I've had this car for 14 years. My dad was looking for a 1st car for my sister when he ran into this coupe for $1500. It was in pretty good shape. It belonged to an old lady that had'nt drove it in over a year. Long story short my dad gave his jeep to my sister and kept the mustang for himself. He rebuilt the front end and painted it Red, it was pea green. After driving it for a year he told me if I saved up enough money to put some tires on it I could have it. At 16 years old I ended up saving enough to buy Trick Flow heads, a Lunati cam, Full length hooker headers, a 600 cfm edelbrock, rpm manifold, mallory distributor, keystone wheels, an art car shift kit, new seats, and new Bfg tires. He handed me the keys and we worked on it with little help for a couple months. So as a junior in high school I had a pretty sweet car. After a flood hit New Braunfels, Tx and my car it only ran for a couple more months until it blew a piston ring. Sadly it has sat in my garage for the past 10 years. After buying and selling 5 other mustangs I've saved enough to get the ball rolling again. I have rewired it put new carpet, seatbelts, brake pads, fuel lines, gas tank, and ignition switch. Then I bought a rebuilt 351w, C4, a 9 inch, and a huge pile of parts that I have been thinking about for the past 10 years. I am so happy that I am actually going to have the car on the road again. I'm also very appreciative that I can finally afford to have a proffessional assemble the motor, trans, and rear for me. I don't really like doing the work, I always have just because I did'nt want to pay someone else to. I also really want to keep the stock hood with no scoop, I have an edelbrock rpm manifold and a holley ultra 750, I know this has been discussed lot's on this forum (that's actually how I found this site), But we will see, I'm really just hoping a drop base filter will magically work. Sorry for the crappy iphone pics it's been in my garage for a long time this is the first sun it's seen in 10 years.
