My Mach 1 got a reaction from JefferyPt in Whats your favorite wheel for a Mach 1
Hey all, I'm replacing my 14" Magnums 500 chrome steel wheels with a 15" set and will most likely go with the Magnums again. But I wanted to know..."if you had to" replace your existing wheels... what kind and brand of wheels would you replace them with?If you have Magnums would you stay with those?would you maybe try out the Aluminum Alloy Magnums? or would you go with a Weld Alloy wheel ? A Centerline Convo Pro perhaps....Would you try something different? Would you dare? Lol...Let's hear from everyone!

My Mach 1 got a reaction from AlexissRet in 5.5" BS Fitment Question
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone here has used a wheel on the back of their 69s with a 5.5" BS and mounted with MT 275x60R15 Drag radials? Did you run into any clearance problems or had to make any mods? I'm looking to use Weld Draglites on the back of my 69 Mach with 5.5" BS and that tire combo. I'm going to see a brand new set today for both front and rear. MT Sportsman SR 26x6 on 15 x 4" x 1 1/2" bs and MT275 x 60 R15 on 15 x 8 x 5.5"bs. Can you folks chime in plz...Thnx!

My Mach 1 got a reaction from JimmyByday in Rear Spring Centering Pin Size?
Hi All, I was wondering if anyone knows what size the centering pin on the rear leaf springs are? I want to pick up a set of lowering blocks from a vendor on line but the pin size is 9/16. Not sure what the size is on my Mach. Thanks!

    My Mach 1 got a reaction from rosalindet16 in Value of a 69 or 70 R Code Mach 1
So I'm looking at maybe buying a 69 or 70 R code Mach 1. There's a couple in my area. These are matching numbers and restored about 7-10yrs ago and driven approx 2k on one and 6k on the other. 1 is a 4 spd car and the other has a C6. Both look really nice. One has front and rear spoiler and no slats while the other has no spoilers or slats. I'm just wondering what you guys think might be a good price to pay. I know that with Barrett Jackson prices most people have an unrealistic idea of what their car is actually worth. I'm finding the prices out here pretty high. What do you think would be a decent price for a decent car? Thanks!

My Mach 1 got a reaction from 3pedal in Hydraulic Clutch Install Help!
Hey 3pedal, from what I've been told that if you have headers the cable setup can be a pain being routed too close to the headers - plus they say it tends to look kinda messy -although some guys have done it. The hydraulic set is apparently smoother and less pedal effort but twice as much.Once I get it done I'll let you know how it went.

My Mach 1 got a reaction from RPM in Need help with traction ideas
Hey sorry guys - my post is contradictory especially after thinking about what you guys have said- smoking the tires is zero traction - so I can either smoke the tires or hook the tires but certainly not both. I'm such a goof!! Truth be told I don't wanna sit and spin.

My Mach 1 got a reaction from Alan_Mac in FPA Headers Awesome
Well I bit the bullet and paid the extra bucks and went for the FPA Headers. My 351w has Dart Pro 1 heads and an FMX Trans so finding headers was a really issue besides the Hooker Super Comps. I also didn't want to dimple any header tubes etc. I called Stan at FPA and he built me a set for my set-up. He made them 1 5/8 primaries stepped to 1 3/4. I also had them ceramics coated in the Grey Ice. When they arrived they looked oh so sexy and he used the wider of the dual bolt pattern on the Dart heads so all I had to do was use a 1/4" dr ratchet, 4" extension and. 3/8" socket to bolt them in.Nice and easy.Fit and finish were awesome. The installation was pretty easy and I spent a whole Saturday installing them as I took my time not to scratch the detailed engine bay or the headers. The under car clearance is great and hug the under body nicely.Oh course I had to purchase the PS drop bracket.Super nice headers....pricey...but now that I have them, I wouldn't go any other way. FPA all the way!!!...I was so excited when I opened the box and saw them I forgot to take pics before the install..lol

Hey what do you guys think an all original 69 428 cobra jet in nice shape is worth? I'm not talking about mint or restored but in very nice clean detailed shape with say 92k on it?..Weigh in guys!

My Mach 1 got a reaction from Ronaldbaf in Headers that fit my Dart Heads
Hi everyone. I have Dart Pro 1 heads on my 351w and it seems that the only headers that will fit are the Hooker Super Comps but may need some tube "adjustment" but may also have some ground clearance issues or the best are the FPA headers that are specific for my Dart heads because they have raised exhaust ports. What you guys seeing and using?

My Mach 1 got a reaction from Ronaldbaf in AOD with Lantech Valve Body
I have an opportunity to purchase a used AOD with a Lentech valve body so it can shift normally 1.2.3 with the od lock out switch and a matching 3200 stall and a solid 1 piece input shaft and TV cable and brackets.Im replacing my 3speed FMX. My 69 Mach 1 has a 351w and this is coming out of a 80's mustang with 302. I know I will have to change the trans mount. Do I also need to change the flex plate? And what about the driveshaft? Lengthened? Shortened? Will the yoke still fit? Your advice would be awesome - thanks

My Mach 1 got a reaction from Ronaldbaf in 15x8 with a 275x60R15 tire
Hi Guys,i'm getting ready to replace the 14x7s magnums with 245x60R14s on the back of my 69 Mach with 15x8" and 275x60R15 in a drag radial and the stock BS is 4.50.which will be approx 2.5" - 3" taller. Do you guys think that a 15x10 will fit or is 15x8 the max without massaging? I was thinking of maybe changing the BS to 4" which will give me a wider look. What do you guys think? your input would be great!Thnx.

This is my Black Jade 69, with oem 14 inch magnums. 14 x 6 I believe. Only little 205 BFG's.

On my 70 I have two sets of wheels, and I have no problem fitting 275/60/15 BFG's under the rear. They fit within the wheel arch, no rubbing. stock springs.

I am sure you can fit larger than 245. 255 is a nice size, and no issues on a 69 or 70 for room
