  1. I read earlier that you moved the seat risers back. Looking at the beautiful underside paint......it doesn't look like the access holes were moved.....was it not necessary to move them? BTW.... What color is that?........looks sweet!
  2. Sorry... you are correct.......MustangProject.
  3. Too bad the people at Vintage are not fourthcoming with info.... At this point, the MustangMarket headlights look good for the price. Anymore feedback from the guys at MustangMarket? I would even entertain headlights with Halos built in as long as the look like BMW and you cant see each individual LED that makes up the halo (I think those look cheap).
  4. I burned out my wiring switching to the Halogens years ago. I have all new wiring and don't want to deal with wiring issues so that is why I'm looking at LED. With all the detail going back into my car, I am willing to forego the fomoco script in favor of less hassle and safety.
  5. Wow! Brian....you document everything! Awesome. I will just order a can if it definitely a flat finish. thanks, Dave
  6. Anyone use this stuff? I just sprayed a few pieces and it is very shiny. My original pieces are a flat argent. Is there a flat argent that I don't know about? The color is a perfect match....just too much shine.
  7. Yeah.....couldn't find locally in NY.......Amazon tho! cant wait to finish and set the crown jewel! Hasn't had the scoop badges on for 40+ years!
  8. Brian....my shaker had the same type of glue marks along the base. It also appears you have the same style seal as my original.....which is NOT tampered height wise (between the yellow lines I added). I have bought 2 "original Ford tooled" shaker seals and they both have tapered sidewalls along the side indicated by the yellow lines. What gives? The glue marks show the original seal was even all the way around. Dave
  9. The cobrajet script badges have adhesive backing. You will most likely just have to glue them back on. Speaking of which....any measurements for correct placement? I assure there is one measurement needed from the front of the scoop.
  10. Yeah....my shaker base has an adhesive residue on the "vertical skirt surface" . But maybe I do need to glue the seal back on.
  11. Ordered that paint in satin. One more related question.....what adhesive is used on the shaker seal?
  12. I know the shaker and trim ring should NOT be as flat as the hood. One mfg's satin might be more semi than others and vice versa. I'm gonna give it a whirl. Thanks Ridge!
  13. Yeah....plan on bubble wrapping and taping the cutouts. As for the stripe.... I have an original Ford Black/gold stripe that I was gonna use when I thought my car was gulfstream aqua. And I have a red stripe with white center(not gold) that I may get rid of before buying a red with gold center stripe. Need to get cut and buffed first before stripe goes on (and trunk letters).
  14. Ha! Good catch on the canoe! Yes......check everything that hold the boat up. In case anyone is wondering......it's a rare 1922 Kennebec canoe (I believe it was built in Maine)....only a handful were built.
  15. I had the same problem with my circuit board. The 2 corners delaminated (and curled over) and shorte out my gauges.
  16. Has anyone bought any of the headlights mentioned??
  17. Does anyone know if there is a durable rattle can paint (with correct sheen) for the shaker scoop and trim ring?
  18. I have the original door handles.......I think I'll send them out for plating if they fit better.
  19. Jay.....first....your car is sweet looking(love that color!). Second, your stance looks perfect to me. I took my measurements from the front and rear of the rocker panel when the did mine.
  20. Got dynacorn doors for my build. After fitting and painting I find that the push button hardware ( the piece that is hinged for the lock mechanism) is too tight of a fit to mount the handle. It appears the door skin may have been crimped to close to the big opening for the door handle and that hinged piece hits the door shell. Now I'm not sure what to do now that everything is painted. I may see if the original door hardware is somehow narrower and might fit better. Ugh!
