    Can you say pricey?

This type of thing is a real pet peeve of mine, over hyping, over pricing and people that don't do a little research before selling. I suppose someone somewhere will overpay for this.
  2. Update The dash plaques look like the flier above but without the details. Some other items have been donated to the entrant's package including a pen & frisbee (fold-up type I think, I haven't seen them though). As stated on the flier, the gym will be open and also a room beside the gym where people can relax and escape the heat.
  3. cphsonic That's stock, all 69 coupes come with that black trim. I have seen it painted body color though
  4. 50s music Entrants receive a package. (contents not final yet but looks to be dash plaque and a couple other items) Trophys for all categories including "Pastor's Pick" (he's a mustang fan) For out-of-towners, Far Hills Ave. is state route 48 on the south side of town a couple miles north of I-675. Will update as more details become available.
  5. I noticed this was relisted with the price cut $2500. After a couple of emails, the owner still maintains its a late 69 or early 70 with a 70 VIN even after I verified it has the wrong body code. When I saw it last night it had 0 bids and 2 days left. No one's going to touch this one. It looks like someone stuck them with it and may be a hidden reason why they want to sell it.
  6. The swap should be fairly easy. The pedal assembly will work fine but before you install it do the bearing conversion on it. Not sure about the crossmember but I think any one for a manual should be ok. I went from 3 speed to a 4 and don't remember changing the crossmember. The console will work but will need the insert around the shifter for a manual. Since you're converting from auto to manual consider a cable or hyd clutch conversion. The factory mechanical linkage usually has issues with header clearance and the equalizer bar tends to twist or bend over time.

    69 hardtop CG

I was just interested in knowing for myself where my car started at, if someone saw it in a book or spec sheet somewhere. I've started modifying the car so it would no longer be the same and I'm not concerned about it again till I'm done. coz, I can relate
  8. This guy is on some serious drugs, Buy it now for 22K! You would think he'd buff the paint and put some decent wheel covers on it. I might give 2000 for it if I even wanted it.

    69 hardtop CG

Anyone got any idea where the CG is on a stock hardtop coupe?
  11. I emailed the seller for more information & pics. We'll see what pops up.
  12. No engine, trunk or undercarriage shots either. Plus the price is a little steep for a 69 (re-titled as a 70 sportsroof at that) with potential title & history issues. It all raises questions not only of workmanship but also the legality of the title especially to an out-of-state buyer who may have to have it inspected. Why wasn't the 69 VIN used? Hot? :detective: I think the current owner is clueless but something don't smell right.
  13. Has anyone seen any comments on the Art Morrison MII setup? I've only seen comments towards Heidts, Rod & Custom and MIIs in general. The Art Morrison setup seems more geared towards performance. I researched it several years ago but don't recall all the info.
  14. The difference between coupe & fastback glass is the A-pillar angle and the roof drops more towards the rear. It sounds like your guide posts are adjusted too far outboard causing the glass to tilt inboards. Are the guides riding correctly on the guide posts?
  15. There'll be an operating inside vent, I haven't quite got it figured out yet though. I never cared much for the factory ornamentation either but I think I found a way to make it elegant. For good or bad I think it looks too naked without something there. Aw4g63, I like it. That's the look I was originally wanting for mine, sans the cowl hood.
  16. I believe the inner part of the bezel is a nut like the headlight switch.
  17. It has slight curvature to it dropping towards the ends and the rear has an up-turned lip reaching up to the rear glass.
  18. It's really not a lot of work. I spend all day designing sheetmetal parts for armored trucks so I'm used to figuring out unique solutions. It'll function basically like the upper quarter vents on the earlier fastbacks. I thought about a forward facing scoop for the brakes but I wanted to maintain some semblence to the stock onamentation. Kinda looking for that second take and a little head scratching like "something's different but I can't put my finger on it".

  20. Yeah, I'm trying to make it look as close to the original trim piece as I can. I wasn't planning on using the chrome piece and duplicating the individual fins may be too difficult hence why I was leaning towards just dividing it into thirds like the chrome piece accents. I'll probably play with it till I get the right look.

  22. Here's my fix. A little hammer & dolly work. One functional air extractor. I still have to make the rest of it. I was testing to see how it looked and I think it will look good finished out with two ribs dividing it. I'll be replacing the quarter skin so I'll actually do this on the new piece off the car before I weld it on. It's tight swinging the hammer in there.

  24. I got a Paddock catalog in the mail yesterday. I thought I saw outers for 69s listed in there as I was browsing. Id have to look again or you could ck online or give them a call.
