  1. It also has Mach1 seat covers and that was not an option as far as I know.
  2. I agree, they are nice rides! You could layout the stripes by hand but you would need the radius dimensions behind the shaker. I would just buy the stencil since it is easy to use and will give you the correct radius's and dimensions. My hood was done differently by my painter. he painted it in reverse then cleared over it so little to no edge is present.
  3. Frode, Just saw this thread for the first time. Wow, it will be a head turner!
  4. I just purchases a set of TMI deluxe door panels for my 70 Mach1. I had to return a set through CJPP and then communicate my workmanship concerns directly with TMI. TMI sent me a new set with acceptable quality. This is a new product for TMI, so I give them a break. They are really nice door panels, I can take some pictures if you want. Alan
  5. Thanks for the great complements, This winter my mach is getting new TMI door panels and a ball bearing setup for my clutch pedal. I just called Redline and the voice message said they are open from 8:30 to 4:30 pm pst. Give them a call. I can call them for you if you want me to help out. Alan
  6. I paid $221 with insured shipping.
  7. The original Ford tach mechanism is a stone age design. I had VDO internals installed by redline Gauge Works. The needle is on zero when off and it works great. One trigger wire for CD ignition hook up. DO IT!
  8. here are the strip and letter dimensions http://s124.photobucket.com/user/Alan_MacDougall/library/side%20marker%20dimensions/1970%20Mach1%20Strip%20and%20Letter%20Dimensions
  9. I had my factory ford tach retrofitted with VDO internals at Redline Gauge Works. Much better than factory internals and it can be triggered directly off my Crane ignition box. The tach looks factory and the needle is on zero when off. This was a big improvement and well worth it.
  10. Simply awesome car. We need more pictures. Love the rims, they look like my Wheel Vintiques.
  11. Do you have a multi spark ignition box?
  12. I'll provide a comparison to the originals for my fellow Mach1 brothers, they will arrive on Tuesday.
  13. It appeared in my checkout basket. Anything over $400 was the $120 anything over $500. was $150 back. My understanding is I have to spend it in 30 days. No problem with that! Scott Drake wood grain inserts and new running horses to freshen up will do it.
  14. I just ordered the TMI door panels, $399, no shipping charge and a $120 credit. WhoooHooo! Can't wait to see them..
  15. I installed tmi deluxe seat covers more than 22 yrs ago and they are very good. Since I am replacing the foam, new white deluxe covers are going on. I spoke to tmi about there door panels and they said went through great pains to make the material look and feel like the originals. The backing is a hard strong plastic which will repel water and will not warp like the masonite. I am buying a set soon. Tmi also makes mach1 carpet. The pictures are bad at their website so they are sending me a carpet sample. I am interested in the tmi carpet since the acc carpet I installed didn't wear very good. Tmi said the mach1 carpet inserts are black but they could make gray inserts at an up charge. Anyone know who sell tmi carpet?
  16. This is why I am interested in the TMI panels. Maybe I will be the first buyer. Thanks Buening
  17. If you buy the TKO upgrade at Liberties Gear the lock out shifting and notch y feel problems are eliminated.
  18. Mustangmarket door panels look decent. Do they look like an exact duplicate of the originals? If not, what are the differences? Are the handle cup holes cut out? Thnak for the response. Alan
  19. I have a TKO500 with 3.50 rear end. 275/40/17 tires. My gear ratios are really great for street use. First gear isn't too tall and 5th is usable ~ 55 to 60+. I would think 3.25 gears with the TKO500 would be a good street combination.
  20. Many years ago I purchased hard covers for my 70 Mach1 door panels. I am thinking of redoing my seats, carpet and door panels. Does anyone have feedback on the TMI Deluxe door panels? Are they soft like the originals, how about fit, finish and the carpet inserts? I am also interested in new TMI front and rear seat foam, any feedback? How about the new Mach1 ACC original loop repop carpet with the molded backing? Any feedback on these parts is appreciated. Still on my quest for perfection... Alan
  21. I have a NOS one that is in similar condition for 30$
  22. The griffin radiator bolts right in and the maradyne dual fan assembly fits perfectly. At 2760 CFM, my setup should cool anything. The maradyne MM22KS should bolt right on any 24" drop in replacement radiator for 69 / 70 mustang. http://www.maradynehp.com/products/mach/mm22ks.php
  23. I would use the 24" griffin aluminium radiator that is a drop in replacement with a maradyne dual fan setup with the variable temperature adjustment. I have that setup with my 418w and it works great.
  24. I have thew SSBC A111-2 rear brake kit and it looks like the same as 2000-1. I added a ~ 6in cable extension and my parking brake works fine. Whats the scoop? I am willing to call SSBC and find out what you need to get your parking brake working. Let me know. Alan
  25. After the rust is removed, I use Ospho to neutralize any of the rust that left in the pores. Osho is green liquid made by Skyco. Ace hardware carries it. Works great, never had the rust return.
