  1. Sound like the outer ring of the balancer has moved. You can replace with an aftermarket version or maybe someone local reconditions them?
  2. Doh, what an idiot, of course it is for the heater elbow. I just had mine out and resealed it!

  4. Looks like the Edelbrocks have two options to place the sensor. One behind the thermostat and one close to number 5 cylinder. I would run both if thats the case. Mechanical sensor next to Therm and original sensor in the other position.

  6. The padded seat base and padded back is the same for the fixed seat and the fold down seat versions. This website is awesome for information on this: http://www.folddownseat.com/
  7. You will need a piece of hose between the radiator which is solid mounted and the trans lines that will move with the rubber mounted engine and Transmission. Unless you have s flexible part in the lines somewhere else?
  8. I would start by getting a workshop to check the pressure with a pressure gauge. May just be a faulty sender.
  9. I have had the pan off my '70 302 Fastback in place. Steering and crossmember drop only, mounts did not need to be touched.
  10. I have the 570 Streeet avenger on my 302, which may be a bit small for your 351. Would be ok if you were not chasing top end horsepower though.
  11. Have a play with this Carb Selector http://www.holley.com/applications/CarburetorSelector/CarbSelection.asp
  12. Keep coming with the ideas for Fastbacks with fold down rear seat guys. Anyone used the MP products style trap door with speaker pods?
  13. Thanks Mike, will the price include shipping?? :) I havent looked at mine yet to find out the cause of the issue, maybe I should start there.
  14. Has no one needed to replace this part recently?
  15. I tend to think you really find out how good a vendor is when you have an issue. So far I have had 3 issues with two vendors. NPD: Purchased deluxe door handles, and found they had some imperfections in the chrome. Replacement set sent at no cost without hesitation. Great Service. CJ's: Purchased Dynacorn fold down seat trim after feedback from others. Found an issue with the fit and CJ's didnt want to know. Contacted Dynacorn who sent my email to Matt at Cj's who sent a replacement set. Good outcome in the end but needed to perservere. CJ's: ordered a pair of interior lamps for the rear of my 70 Sportsroof. The two lamps were very different to each other when they arrived. Emailed Cj's who said because I was overseas replacement items were not feasible. Eventaully they agreed to replace with a matched set. Again I needed to push to get what i should have recieved in the first place.

I guess you are a kiwi from the name.

What part of NZ are you in and what do you drive?

  19. The ratchet mechanism on my 70 Parking brake doesn't hold sometimes, so I am looking to order a new one. Has anyone purchased one lately? Who makes the best version? CJ's only sem to list one for a 69 and NPD list a 70 version but state it needs modification to fit. Anyone know what is required here? Thanks All
  20. Just fitted a fold down rear seat and belts in my 70. Rear lower seat has slots in it for the belts to pass through, mounting bolts were already there in my car. Not sure if the 69 is different.
  21. I think you should ditch it! (and sell it to me very cheap if its black):)
  22. I added the fold down, turned into more $$$ than I first thought but good result. Be much easier to source all the bits in the US. I have heard they just dont fit right, not much more than that. Would love some feed back from someone that has one that fits well and sounds good.
  23. I have a fold down rear seat in my 70, but have not heard anything good about the plastic moulded trap door for speakers. That was my original plan, so at this stage I have speaker boxes sitting in the boot and a dual speaker in the dash. Is there a version of the trap door you have seen that fits ok?
  24. Looks good. Where are your other 2 speakers? How does it sound?
  25. Interested to know why you are changing from Windsor to Clevo (apart for the fact it is correct for the car) Do you need to change mounts etc?
