  1. Hey guys, took my Mustang out the other day and noticed the oil pressure was reading low. At first it was only when I was idling but then as I started to drive it would go up a little bit but as I drove more and more it continued to stay on the low side. I figured it was because I had not yet changed to thicker oil for hot summer so I did that today. Still reads low pressure...anybody have a similar issue or know what I can do to diagnose the problem? Thanks
  2. yes this is mainly just for fun and looks. I wanted to do something a little different than the norm. Looking at it today it looks like if I move the battery to the trunk as RacerX stated and then remove the windshield washer fluid reservoir I should have direct access to where the high beams are, then I just need to fab some mesh to put over the holes.
  3. I was thinking about removing the high beam headlights and creating my own sort of ram air intake with piping running to the air cleaner. However upon further inspection it doesnt seem possible because of the size of the radiator and the battery cover where I would be able to go through to the headlights. My question is does anyone know of someone who has done this and if so how they got around to the headlights? Thanks

  5. thanks for all the info. another question, did any of you use the existing brake pedal bracket to mount the clutch pedal? As we all know the clutch pedal assemblies are staggeringly expensive so I was looking and Modern Driveline has a clutch pedal that is made to adapt to the existing brake pedal bracket and its much cheaper. Just curious if anyone has used this and how complicated it was to install.
  6. I am getting ready to swap my C4 to a T-5 and I just had some pretty specific questions that I was looking for some help on. 1) When I changed my front brakes over to power disc the stuff I ordered asked if the car was a manual or automatic transmission (of course it was an automatic at the time). Now my question is, what is the difference? If I swap to a manual is that going to take me steps backward with my brakes? 2) Does the whole in the floor where the auto shifter comes through need to be modified or changed in any way to accommodate the T-5? 3) Does the drive shaft need to be changed? Sorry if all of this has been covered before, I have a 302 motor if that matters at all. Thanks guys
  7. I have 17x8 Cragars on mine. Give it a modern yet classic look. They bolted right on.
  8. well after further inspection turns out one of my mounts is broken. The fan is def coming up and hitting the hose. The hose i just bought a few days ago has a huge chunk taken out of it now.....thats liable to bust anytime now
  9. Ok thank you very much. Ill be sure to check all of that out. I have thought that a motor mount was broken but I had someone look at it while i revved it up and they said it wasnt moving enough to be broken. I can't see the mount well enough to tell if its broken just by looking at it
  10. So the other day I was hot rodding around which i normally don't do, but i decided I wanted to try and burn my tires. Well they never did break loose because my radiator hose blew and through coolant everywhere. This is the second time that same hose has burst. The other time was when i had to step on the gas pretty hard to accelerate from a stop on a really steep hill. Why would it be bursting so often and with what seems to be somewhat normal circumstances? thanks
  11. ok thanks a lot guys you have really helped me out a lot.

  13. so does that mean where the shifter comes up it wont come through the whole that is there from my automatic shifter?

  15. I have a 69 302 with a 4 barrel carb and it has a C4 transmission in it. I have been wanting to change it over to a 5 speed manual. I found a guy that has a T5 5 speed out of a 1995 mustang. He says that it will bolt right up to my stang. I am totally new with transmissions so I need help. He said he will give me the transmission, clutch, pressure plate and drive shaft. That means i will need a clutch pedal assembly. Would I need to look for an assembly for an old mustang or one for a 95? I need some help please.
