A video and pictorial show on my rebuild
TexasEd replied to BigDuke6's topic in Project Progress Forum
ok, so they were masked differently for painting the black, or the Dearborn car was painted black after assembly and the Meutchen was painted before, right? What if it is not the original paint? -

I caught the Boss thing, but how do you know the plant? I agree, the car looks great. -

If you look at the video it was a 70 style before the wreck. Pause at the 37 second mark. -

Check out the engine detailing in Buckeye Demon's Project Progress thread. I love the way that it looks. http://www.1969stang.com/mustang/forum/showpost.php?p=78626&postcount=344 I don't particularly care for the painted bumpers, etc.

Has anyone used their rear quarter panel extensions? I think I'll need on for the right side and have heard of a lot of fitment issues. Edit: I see now it is all carbon fiber. It might be interesting to see them produce an original style rear spoiler/ wing instead of what they have. The hook scoop and Mach 1 honeycomb rear panel are parts that might look cool in the gloss finish.

Looks great. I have moments when I think of going with a metallic red like the newer Mustang "Dark Candy Apple Red Metallic" but then I see a great paint job in the original classic Candy Apple Red and change my mind again. Is your engine bay going to be black?

I like the carbon fiber door panel. I also liked your startup video. Was that with open headers? -
