  1. I have the Jim Osborne manual, but the illustration on how to route a 4-speed speedo cable isn't helpful. I have a 351W by the way. Anyone have a picture(s) of how it's supposed to be installed. Last thing left to do in my tranny swap from auto to manual.
  2. Just swapped from a auto to manual trans (orig 4-speed car) and got everything installed including a new Scott Drake 69-70 302-351 Clutch Adjustment Rod. However, I can't get the pedal up high enough, and engage the clutch. Seems like it is about a 1/2" to 1" inch too short. NPD catalog shows it should be 7 1/8" log and mine is. Can someone measure their adj rod and let me know how long it is.
  3. Yeah, link not working. Look up ebay item #220749325872 and there is picture of the speaker with the bolts. Picture shows 2 bolts but IIRC there is 4.
  4. Got the trany and driveshaft installed and the driveshaft fits with ~7/8" of the yoke shaft exposed. Is that about right?
  5. Here's the MM article: http://www.mustangmonthly.com/howto/mump_0306_how_to_understand_and_maintain_side_windows/viewall.html

Google 69 mustang window adjustment and you'll find several mentions/tips, incldung from this site. I reglued my passenger window and it's still out of wack. Just got a new top and weatherstriping and I myself am frustrated trying to get it aligned properly even though I know how to make the adjustments. Have been thinking of changing to 70 bolt-in glass, but it's not cheap.

  8. Speaker mounts to metal bracket that is molded into the dash pad. Has bolts that slide into the holes and the speaker is secured with nuts. Here's a picture of the nuts/bolts: http://i.ebayimg.com/t/1969-1970-Ford-Mustang-Cougar-dash-Speaker-w-harness-/00/
  9. Thanks for the link SunnDogg. I'm looking for correctness as in application/fit/function. Still in the process of a tranny swap back to a 4 speed so haven't tried to fit the driveshaft I have yet. Was looking to find out how to tell before attempting to determine if I need to have it shortened, need an new input shaft, or need to get a different one.
  10. How can I tell if I have a correct driveshaft for a wide-ratio 4-speed tranny?
  11. WTB 70 bolt in door glass and brackets for Coupe/Conv to replace my glue-ins.
  12. Do you have the bolt in door glass and brackets for both doors?
  13. What color/paint cond is the fender? Where in SE Indiana are you?
  14. Looking for the correct fan for my 69 351W w/AC.
  15. Looking for the correct fan for my 69 351W w/AC.
  16. Do you actually need to install '70 regulators if doing the swap to bolt in glass?
  17. The headlight switch could also be the culprit.
  18. Actually K-code engines (not all...see HiPo site for debate on this) back in 1964 1/2 had partial VINs (my previous 64 1/2 & 66 K-codes had them). My San Jose '69 has a partial VIN, but as others have stated, numbers-matching for Mustangs applies more to date coding.
  19. Any progress pics on the painting of the convertible frame? How did you do it, what did you use. I need to have my top replaced but I don't want to have it done without having a freshly painted frame. Any info/advice woul be appreciated.
  20. I bought a rebuilt case half from Classic Auto Air for the same reason...that's one option.
  21. No, some plants used them and others did not. It was used in the assembly process to indicate how the car was to be equipped/built. Here's a decoder site: http://www.ponysite.de/fmcog/to_alt/bbtd.htm
  22. I've got 225-60-14 BFG TAs on my original 14" SS wheels
