  3. I really like the valve covers. They are cast aluminum and seem to be well made. The old covers were chrome and pitted and needed to be replaced. You can see them in my post from 3/22. I was looking for a different look and something that would be easier to maintain than the chrome.

  5. Engine is slowly coming together. Installed a March serpentine belt system. Maybe a little too much bling, but got a good price on the assembly.
  6. AOD's can be built to handle high HP. You might want to check with a couple of suppliers that specialize in them http://www.lentechautomatics.com/
  7. gsxrken I have a question for you. Can you give me any information on your chin spoiler/splitter? Did you fab or purchase? Thanks
  8. I see you're using a 9" rear. Did you have to narrow it, or is it standard.
  9. I actually bought the sprayer that is available from them. It cleans up fairly easily. I sprayed multiple coats for it to build up. Sprayed the roof panel until it was fairly thick. Sprayed the floor, and roof. It comes in a 2 gallon bucket and I still have about a quart left. I will also use the rest to spray inside the doors and in the wheel wells. I dont know how durable it's going to be there.
  10. The Lizard Skin product goes on rather thick. The consistency is kind of like a milk shake. Initially it is soft to the touch, and you can sink your fingernail into it. After it sets up for a while (week?) it is really very hard. I dont think there's any way it would flake or crack if the surface was properly cleaned.
  11. Making some progress on the engine. New alum heads, powdercoated rear sump pan and intake.
  12. Now the fun begins...........Looks like you've got a lot of parts to work with. I've got to say, though, I am very impressed with your Lethal Performance posters
  13. WOW! I'm impressed.. with quality of the parts and pieces as well as the vid. Keep us posted on the progress.
  14. The 351 has the same motor mounts, etc. My car was originally a 302 and is now a stroked 351. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Windsor_engine#351W
  15. Here's all that is being kept. Internals look very good. No need to replace anything. Now time to start adding parts and pieces.
  16. Adrian. I get out that way quite often. I have a daugter that lives S of K'zoo and a friend that lives in GR Sounds like you've got something interesting to work with given the original equip and color..
  17. Was the car originally a Mach and was it built with the 390? Also what were the original trans and brakes?
  18. Sven. I'm located in Adrian. Some of the work is being done in Waterford
  19. Today we are starting on the next phase of the project. This is the engine and trans. Planning to go through it with aluminum heads, serpentine belt system, new valve covers, and anything else that needs replacing.
  20. Just my opinion, but before you start doing anything, order a Marti report on the car to find out what it came with originally, and how "rare" it is. If it was something that is special, then I'd probably do a resto. My car was originally turquoise with a stock 302 with a C4. When I bought it, the car had been painted 3 different colors, front seats were passenger seats on both sides, and had a well built 351 stroker with a C6. For me, it didn't make sense in taking it back to original. Would have cost more than it would have been worth to do. So I decided to do it the way I'd like to drive it.
