~ 1969 Export Brace Color

Since the one piece export brace was not an original ford part(as far as I know).....any ideas what the correct color should be? Ford Semi-Gloss Blk or engine compartment color?

I got mine in 1989 over the counter at Ford, it was semi gloss black and I think is was around $40

I have 2 originals ,one from a  67 T5 and one i bought in 1978 ,they are both semi gloss

The O.E. Ford Service Parts version I bought in the mid 80's is semi-gloss black ... found a pic in my collection that even shows the part number sticker still on it:

You guys with these oe export braces, sheesh. And probably paid less than my chicom piece.

I bought one at  turlock for $25 about 8 years ago ,the other one came on a 67 T5 coupe rust bucket ,it is the original one for the car as the T5s had them. this one also has the early 65 patern along with the 66 up .i have 

Never seen one with both paterns and both sets of holes are punched not drilled
