stangnet33 88 Report post Posted July 29, 2016 Some great progress ! On the roof to rear quarter seam, after installing metal patch, what filler do you use before the regular body fill ?
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted July 29, 2016 Fiber Tech by Evercoat, then we follow up with 3M platinum bodyfiller.

mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted July 30, 2016 Really like the rear bumper fit. That looks great! Thanks, It fit really good all the way around, except it was hanging out a little bit on the lower left side. So what we did was add 4 layers of fiberglass to the inside curve, then sanded down the outside for a perfect fit. We also tighten up the edge that follows the tailpanel to get a smaller gap. I think I'll have my manufacturer move the scribe line further out for a tighter fit. You can always sand the edge down if you want it wider.

RPM 1,190 Report post Posted August 1, 2016 Real nice work. Think I'll drop off my 69 for some fine tuning of the body gaps...when I hit the lotto :)

mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted August 6, 2016 We we're wondering why we couldn't get the hood to go sideways, Dynacorn welded nuts in the hood instead of the factory J-clips, so we drilled them out and installed the clips.

Rear bumper looks awesome, so is that fiberglass or a modified steel one?

That's total crap! Seems like it'd be more work to weld them in than install the J-clips. D!ck move.

D!ck move. it would have been cheaper and faster to stay with the J-clips. Without the J-clips there's no way to move the hood sideways.
