mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted October 29, 2016 Installed the seat pans and moved them all the way back for more leg room. 1 69Mustang16 reacted to this
RPM 1,190 Report post Posted October 29, 2016 Do the seat bolt access holes in the floor still line up, or will you have to move the holes back?
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted October 30, 2016 We use a 3 point set up and move the factory anchor in the tunnel forward 6 inches. As for the seats we can still get the nuts started in the factory holes.

mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted November 2, 2016 Installing our MTF mini tubs. You can also see how we moved the seat belt anchors forward in the tunnel. 4 LorenzoEi, SweellTrex, Drakeboino and 1 other reacted to this

RPM 1,190 Report post Posted November 9, 2016 Maybe I missed it, but why did you move the seat belt anchors forward?
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted November 9, 2016 Very simple, if you don't move them forward you'll never be able to snap the seat belt in. The original location is to far back.

Angel 24 Report post Posted November 12, 2016 Looks great! Why not take the new tubs all the way to the frame rail? What size tire are you expecting to fit now?
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted November 12, 2016 Very simple, if we would have done that then we would have to modify the rear interior. The way we designed our tubs you won't have to do that and still get maximum tire size.

stangnet33 88 Report post Posted November 15, 2016 Looking fantastic :) ! Really appreciate all the photo's you take. When all said and done do you think that at least 315's will stuff in there ?
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted November 16, 2016 I'm hoping the 315 will fit fine. This is one of the reasons why we will be installing them in 65-70 so we will know for sure.

Angel 24 Report post Posted November 19, 2016 Great work!!! Do those inner wheel housings fit better than the ones made by Autoworks International? I would like to do this to my car one day and would rather not cut the frame rail. Also, why didnt they locate the housing flush with the frame rail? Seat belt related? unilec 57 Report post Posted November 19, 2016 So if you fit mini tubs, do you also need to shorten the axle?
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted November 24, 2016 The way we designed our mini tubs is different than the rest. There's no modification needed to your interior, which was our main concern. Anytime you cut into the frame rail it requires some modification. You don't need to change your axle housing, but it will allow you to go with a deeper dish wheel. stangnet33 88 Report post Posted January 27, 2017 So how is this coming along ? Try any big tires in there yet ?
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted February 9, 2017 Had to get off of it for a bit, to many cars stacking up on us. I'll post some more pictures later.
