wfridolfson 10 Report post Posted September 2, 2014 Ok i replaced printed ciruit board, the only thing that works is right turn indicator, amp gauge and bright light indicator, no dask lights at al and have replaced all bulbs. Before i changed board the fuel gauge, temp and oil pressure worked on and off but the last month nothing, also put new engine harness and replaced sending units, i'm at a loss
magician 13 Report post Posted September 3, 2014 I'll try to remember to check my diagram tomorrow if no one chimes in. I'm fairly good on dash problems.
Guillaume69 150 Report post Posted September 3, 2014 There are already a bunch of topics on this if you search the forum. It usually is a matter of centering the gauge studs correctly to avoid them to "ground" on the metal casing. Here's a small sample: http://www.1969stang.com/mustang/forum/showthread.php?t=15527&highlight=Gauge+issues http://www.1969stang.com/mustang/forum/showthread.php?t=15739&highlight=Cluster+printed+circuit+board http://www.1969stang.com/mustang/forum/showthread.php?t=14965&highlight=Cluster+printed+circuit+board http://www.1969stang.com/mustang/forum/showthread.php?t=5410&highlight=Cluster+printed+circuit+board And there are many more of these if you search... Raven R code 281 Report post Posted September 4, 2014 from experience....the delamination of my original circuit board caused everything to stop working. I am still trying to get my gages to the tach man to get rebuilt and recalibrated. Dave
69volunteer 84 Report post Posted September 5, 2014 You should be able test these by hooking 12v up to the gauges and making sure they peg out. I assume the cluster is out of the car? Not sure about the lights but that could be the switch/dimmer control.
