Undercarriage detailing pics

Can anyone show some pics of the correct body color and black pinch weld overspray on the undercarriage? I've been told several different ways this can be done from several different MCA Gold Judges. Would like to see the most correct for future reference. Any help would be appreciated...Rich

I think there are probably more modified cars on this site, versus MCA restored cars. But, I could be wrong... and I hope someone can help you.

This Mach 1 has been in my wifes family since Jan.'70. She received it as a sweet 16th birthday present provided she graduated from HS in 1982,which she did. My oldest daughter came home from the hospital in 1986(now 25). And she's(we) had it since. Reason for the name "priceless".

Maybe I'm on the wrong website then for answers, will go try somewhere else...Thanks anyway.

Please don't feel the need to go elsewhere just because your first post didn't go exactly as you had hoped/planned in the first 2 hours.

 

If you are really a 1969/70 MCA Certified Concours Judge as your Sig states then it's possible that you are actually the best qualified person here to answer your own question, in fact seeing that info made me scratch my head on why you would be the one asking about it in the first place.

 

We have several members who are very meticlous (and almost rediculously anal) about the detailing that goes into their cars, in fact the pinch weld treatment has actually come up in more than one thread over this past year alone as I recall.

If you can tell us what plant and month it was built that helps with the bottom of the car. Buckeye has a good shot of his pinchweld blackout in his build thread as well.You can find more in the Body Assy manual. My early build Metuchen Mach 1 was red oxide.
