rajonmestra 10 Report post Posted May 7, 2012 I don't intent reviving this thread up but I believed what you are talking about are for popping the trunk up a bit when you open the trunk with your keyfob or from the button above the license plate. Well, it's as easy as you may think as far as for the manual i've been into.

TexasEd 191 Report post Posted May 7, 2012 I don't think my Dearborn, January 69 built sportsroof has bumpers either. When I saw them in the NPD catalog I scratched my head.

69RavenConv 286 Report post Posted May 8, 2012 pretty old thread, but i thought only the coupes used the bumpers? Coupes and convertibles I reckon. Here's a shot of my convertible when I removed it.
Pakrat 1,043 Report post Posted May 8, 2012 pretty old thread, but i thought only the coupes used the bumpers? I suspect that rajonmestra is a well disguised spammer since all he does is resurrect old threads with indirect information on the subjects and always included an obscured link to Parts Train in his signature (until I recently removed it anyway). I put him on probabtion to give him the benefit of the doubt and explain himself so we'll see. Anyway, my vert had the bumpers FWIW and when I went to the Shelby lid we installed a set of 90's adjustable style to get it to level right when closed.
