CG in TX 16 Report post Posted February 17, 2011 The console is custom, made by my dad. He also made the console for his 59 Impala resto and another for a friends 70 fastback resto. He is retired and loves doing things like that.

CG in TX 16 Report post Posted May 25, 2011 The car is done (well they are never completely done). Only problem is when I gas it doing 60 the rear tires break loose and everything gets crazy. Must be a defect.

Pakrat 1,043 Report post Posted May 25, 2011 Very Sweet! All these cars getting finished lately are making me sad though as I come to the reality already that I probably will miss yet another summer.

TexasEd 190 Report post Posted May 25, 2011 Looks great. The painted bumpers really change the overall look of the car. The center console is a great touch and something I would like to know more about (construction, dimensions, etc).

CG in TX 16 Report post Posted May 26, 2011 My dad built the center console using the dimensions from the stock console with some changes to make it more comfortable (taller arm rest, shifter moved back, stuff like that). I bought the seats on ebay. They are from a 2008 mustang and were cloth. I bought the TMI Mach 1 retro covers. The seats are too high for the stock floor. You have to cut out the risers on the floor and beef up the floor pan and they bolt right in.
