exhaust options

Hi guys,

 

Just after some opinions on a cool exhaust look for a 69, I had my car pulled up by the police & defected because my exhaust dumps under the car (drag style) so now I have to get new tailpipe sections made.

 

I don't have the luxury of aftermarket suppliers with ready-made tailpipe sections in OZ for a 69 mustang so I have to get them made up..

 

Attached two pic's of what I like, leaning toward the pipes exiting at the corner, would like to dump just behind the rear wheel but this seems to be a firebird thing and my brother has a 68 firebird, I'd never hear the end of it!

 

Any comments or other pics would be appreciated.

Without the dual exhaust valance, i would just use turndowns right before the valance like the Boss cars did. Just my opinion.

Agreed, I don't like like the look of a visable exhaust without a cutout valance unless they are dumping out in front of the rear tires.

I have these on my truck and have seen them on our cars - I think they look & sound great coming straight out the back.

If I hadn't wanted to keep the stock twin look, I would have gone with these.

Few bets each way but I think I go with the style on the fastback simply because its a bit different.

No picking on my gas cap either, I just like the 67 style the best.
