  1. I used to run a 1 1/8" front sway bar and a 7/8" rear sway bar. The car definitely handled the turns well. The rear bar was purchased from NPD and was made by afco. It was a quality piece and came powder coated. It was designed as an add on and mounted behind the axle. The bar runs accross the rear trunk panel and mounts on the frame rails about 3 inches behind the bump stop. The end links mount on the leaf springs. I would recommend it for street use but probably not for track. A lot of people will tell you that rear sway bars aren't needed and that they may actually cause problems. Sometimes I would notice that the rear bar would cause a little bit of over steer. This would only happen at high speeds when merging from one freeway to another. Other than that, I liked the bar and plan to intall it again when the car is nearing completion. Although next time I might have to use a 3/4" bar since they only make 1" front sway bars for mustang 2 suspensions.
  2. Back in high school I removed the windows to get them tinted. I Cleaned the rails up and used a generic automotive glue called GOOP to glue the windows back in. It's held up surprisingly well. It's been about 7-8 years. Don't be scared of the glue ins!!! Just use a good quality glue like maxum said. I paid like $5 for that GOOP stuff.
  3. Actually, you can use brakes from any 94-04 cobra, 01 bullitt, and 03-04 mach1. The bores might change is size a bit but the original caliper bracket is the same. That ford bracket bolts onto these brackets. They won't work with disc spindles however.
  4. I'm looking to buy mustang steve brackets but for mustang 2 drop spindles now.
  5. Throwing this back up! Haven't been pushing the sale much.
  6. I looked into that Eastwood kit and found some interesting resposes to it. Some like it, most didn't. Apparently it doesn't work too well. It sucks because I have some scratches I want to get rid of as well.
  7. I have those leafs. I run an 18x9.5" wheel with 5.5" bs. Without rolling the fenders, my old 255/45/18 tires used to rub. Now that I've rolled the fenders completely, I run a 275/40/18 tire with no problems. I want to lower it More with some reverse eye leafs and use a 285/40/18 tire next time. You should be ok with that tire. Ride height will dictate whether you need to roll the fenders or not.
  8. This kit changes the track width right? Adds an inch all around. A couple guys are running this set up with a bullitt style 10" rim. They claim no problems. All those cars sit high in the back though. They have about a one inch gap between the fender and tire. If your car is lowered, rubbing is probably what the shop is worried about.
  9. I have the 4.5 leaf mid eye leafs. I agree, I want to get the reverse eye instead of adding a block. Just not sure if I want to go with 4.5 again or the 5 leafs. If you know you're going to add a lowering block then definitely go with the reverse eye.
  10. Wow that sucks. Of all their products, the chin is the one thing I wouldn't buy. Only because it's likely to scrape on any driveway and probably crack if not made of flexible plastic. It does look cool in CF though.
  11. What about mustang gt scoops from '02-04? They are larger than the v6 scoop.
  12. I think that aeroform makes their stuff based on other companies' design. Their rack and pinion looks just like the one made by steeroids, just a bit cheaper. I'm sure this is based on the TCP coil over set up. Spindles should be stock as they are normally reused. As stated, the coil over itself might be the biggest difference.
  13. The heater core itself only weighs about 2-3 pounds. I think 69_mustang is referring to the heater box and everything else associated with it, including the heater core which goes inside the box.
  14. Hey man. The pump has a pulley for a v-belt. The column shaft if for use with a stock column. Tie rods are for use with stock spindles. I'll pm you my number.
  15. Do it man! I just got a 2003 cobra engine and t56 for my coupe. Towers are gone. No looking back!
  16. Thanks man. I should clarify a bit though. I do like them on the driver side. It's the passenger side that kinda bugs me. Since the spokes are directional, they point forward on the driver side and backwards on the passenger side. It's that lack of symmetry that sometimes bothers me. I do, however, love the way torque thrust and bullits look in these cars!
