  1. this is the differential only, no gears, no case...just the diff. still in the box, unopened. Here is a pic for reference only:
  2. Differential only, new in the box. Part number is 913A586. $460 shipped anywhere in the continental U.S. Email with any questions.
  3. Welcome, glad to see another 69 Formal on here. Good site with good info and people.
  4. I had a holley blue for a long time, loud as hell as you may know. I've been running an edelbrock for a couple years now and really like it. It is very quiet compared to the holley.
  5. Welcome...I'd love a 69 Fastback my self! What part of Northern Cal?
  6. the instructions that come with the trans do specifically say to take it easy the first 500 miles, no high rpm shifts, etc. I've read many places it is also recommended to change the oil after this initial break in. This is a link to what comes in the box. http://www.ttcautomotive.com/English/onlineorder/pdf/TKO_Installation_Tips_117_117.pdf
  7. just hit the 700 mark on mine and no noticeable noise. what oil did you use? GM Syncromesh? They say to change it after 500-700 miles also.

    unisteer?

I have the RRS manual rack on my Torino and it is not like the stock power steering. Very similar to stock manual steering in my opinion. Other then parking the car, it steers like a new car well worth it!

  10. My Torino's cutouts are factory, no doubt about it. My parents bought it new and I had no idea until i removed the under hood insulation. The holes are factory. Of course someone could easily do it themselves.
  11. I guess this can be found out by decoding the vin? It was purchased in November of 68, I know that much!
  12. I assume it is, since my parents bought it new here in the SF bay area. I can double check if needed.
  13. In the case of the Torino if it had the functional scoop, the hole in the hood was completely open. that way the flap would extend up in to the scoop. Likely the mustangs and cougars were similar.
  14. Pretty certain yes. Here is a picture of mine. Again, this is a 302 GT car.
  15. My 69 Torino GT has the same holes in the hood and that is just the "standard" GT with a 302, all Torino GT's in 69 had these holes. Some of the Torinos with the 428 had the funtional hood scoop. Here is a picture of a cougars air cleaner that is funtional, Torinos were similar as were some non shaker Mustangs.
  16. Not much of a hassle to install, either way, way worth having modern steering on these old cars.
  17. The drum hubs are needed for the 13" cobra brake conversions even when using factory disk spindles. Alot cheaper then your setup I'm sure! Looks nice and I bet they perform well though.
  18. Street or Track can supply the drum hubs, that's where I got mine.
  19. You still use the drum brake hubs when doing this swap. I did this one myself earlier this year on my 69 Torino with factory disk spindles.
  20. Shaun at street or track just finished developing this kit to put the 13" cobra brakes on disk spindles. http://www.streetortrack.com/13-Cobra-front-bracket-kit-for-68-73-DISK-or-75-80-GRANADA-spindles-pr-24431.html
  21. yeah you cannot use the original front sump pan when doing the mustang II conversion.
