I am running 235's on 7 inch wheels (3.5 bs) up front and 245's on 8 inch wheels (4.5 bs) on the rear. I have Magnum 500 wheels. My car is lowered two inches in the front and rear and these tires fill the wheel wells. I would not go any larger.

Are 69 and 70 hi-back buckets the same, except for upholstery? How about the coupe rear seats - are the 69 and 70 rears the same, except for upholstery?

I have a '69 Grande with stock interior. Have been thinking about switching to the (hi-back) Mach One seats. Would it be possible to find a set of new seat covers and foam that combined hi-back buckets with the coupe rear seat?

I currently have Magnum 500's (15 inch) installed on my '69 and have been thinking about replacing these HEAVY monsters for improved performance. Does anyone know of a good lightweight replacement that does not cost and arm and a leg? Would consider going up to 17 inch wheels.

I installed a set of Doug's ceramic coated headers (Model D669Y) on my '69 Mustang with a 351 Windsor and auto trans. Did not have to use a power steering drop bracket. Fairly easy to install from underneath and there are no clearance issues. They certainly look better than the rusty Hooker headers that I replaced.

Where is the best place to put the jack stands? Under frame rails? Torque Boxes? Rear Axle? Front Cross Member?

Does any vendor sell a new gauge cluster for the 69 deluxe interior with light teak wood grain? If so, how is the quality? The chrome rings are gone on mine.

Where do you buy the wood grain vinyl? I am thinking about buying a new gauge cluster, but I have only seen them in black. So I guess you have to buy the cluster and the vinyl separately. Thanks.

I bought a Burtex trunk mat for my 69 Grande and found that it did not cover the area under the spare tire. I want to find a small piece of the burtex (about 2 x 3 ft) to cover the missing section. It is the spatter pattern. Anybody know where to get the fabric?

never seen a metal scoop in mach 1 design Are you saying that the original hood scoops on the Mach's were fiberglass?

I am thinking about adding a hood scoop to my 69 Grande. A couple of questions about it. Will the scoop from a Mach fit the hood on my Grande? Is there any dealer selling a metal hood scoop? All I see are fiberglass. Anybody have one for sale?

Is there any way to tighten the mirror in the racing mirrors? I set the mirror in the correct position and after driving for a while, the mirror has shifted so I can no longer see behind me.

Do you have the export brace and Monte Carlo bar? If not, you need them.

I have a copy of an invoice for a 1969 Grande which shows the vinyl roof as a $84.25 option. I thought a vinyl roof was standard on all Grande's but the invoice shows it to be an option.

According to my Marti Report, my 1969 Mustang was born with a 351w ,an FMX and 3.0 conventional rear axle ratio. I thought an 8" rear end was standard for this combo. I had the car on a lift yesterday and the differential is definitely not an 8 inch. How can I tell if the differential is an 8.8 or a 9"?

Can anyone post photos of the underside of a 1969 Mustang (Coupe, if it matters)? I would like to see photos of the underside with and without suspension components installed. I am looking for the source of a loud "banging" noise in the rear of my car when I hit a large bump. Thanks

The inline valve is on AC models only. It is there to close off the hot water going to the heater when the AC is on.

I bought one of these Corsa Feroce Steering wheel kits. Mine is the 14 inch 6-hole model. http://www.mustangdepot.com/OnLineCatalog/Steering/s_style.htm This is really a beautiful product. Has anyone installed one of these? There are three main pieces - the steering wheel, an adapter and a horn button with insert. I would appreciate advice before I remove the current steering wheel? Prayers1, can you please post a picture of the console with the gauge pod installed? What gauge pod are you using? I am interested in doing this to my 69.

Like most of you, I do not like the color combination. Normally I like to keep stock interior in Mustangs, but I really like the seats in this car. Anyone know if these seats are available for purchase or if they are one-offs? Did they come from a donor car?

Is there any way to tighten up the mirror inside its housing? My passenger side (racing) mirror will not stay in position - like if I hit a bump while driving. Sorry to hijack this post.

Anyone know if there is going to be a "gathering" of Mustangs in Reno this coming weekend?

Both of the shock towers on my 69 Grande had separated (due to weak/bad spot welds) and had to be pulled back into position and welded. Also there were several small stress cracks in the passenger side shock tower which needed to be welded. I understand that this is a very common problem. How many of you guys have had similar problems? Have any of you inspected your shock towers and found no separation or stress cracks?
