What are you going to do with that free time!

You should have gotten an email something like this back in September about the change over to a dedicated site now, all you need to do is update the code in your signature to the new link.

    Sep 22, 2008 - 9:59 AM Welcome back everyone...

We have now upgraded the RPM Planets Signature system to its very own dedicated website. www.CheckMySig.com The new site name reflects exactly what we all are trying to do... "Check my sig!"

All previous RPM Planet users, just login with your prior user name and password and you will be able to update...

I see you not only fixed it but you also finally changed the linking code to your album here instead of the defualt blank page it used to link to, nice job!

  4. Hey, what was the result of your custom made exhaust tip with the 2 1/2" to oval transition? I never did see it welded up and installed.

  5. Hi there Steve,

I do not know, sorry. Actually someone if not me has posted pics of your car on just about any thread that touches base on the whole fiberglass deck lid discussion. I can't recall if one of those were regarding the new owner joining our forum or not though. You may want run your last name thru our search engine and see what pops up, probably a dozen or so threads at least.

So are you having sellers remorse? Looking to get back into the hobby? I'm guessing you've been searching the internet for info on your old car and that's how you got here but in any case I hope you stick around and particpate, we have a great bunch of 69/70 owners here and a super friendly forum.

  6. Not yet but that is still the plan. Since the car is still not ready to put on the road I have been putting off the purchase until I get to installing the 13" brake conversion project (hopefully this spring) then I will have to absoultey buy them or I can't roll. Hoping by then the price drops a bit or there is more competition in that market. we have a memeber called 69boss429 with the same wheel, size and set up that I will have except it is the wheel vintiques version not AR, you could reference that though for an idea.

  7. For the 17X8 up front a 4.5bs and for the 17x9.5 outback I finally decided on 5.75bs. I was originally going to go 6 since 5.5 is not enough and would stick out further than I want but since it is a custom backspace and can be anything I decided to play it safe and split the difference just to avoid any potential issues, others have gone the full 6 though without a problem.

  8. Your link seems to be for the main site, I think this is the one you meant. www.squidoo.com/1969-Ford-Mustang I have no idea either but they have good taste!!!!

  9. Unfortunately my project has stalled some for the past 5 years, my gallery is for the most part up to date where I left off in regards to recent pics.

  10. Thanks, I'll look into it. Next time please PM me the info and a link to the threads they have attacked, it will make it easier for me hunt them down with great vengeance and furious anger.

  11. You haven't done anything wrong yet but your account wreaks of spam. No offense but you're being watched and if that is the case then you might as well leave now as you will be promptly banned at the first offense otherwise. This includes adding redirective links in your signature even if you haven't made a post yet.

If that's why you are here you might as well just leave as you will be banned on the first offense even if it is just a redirective link in your signature regardless of wether you post in a thread or not.

  16. Please don't put links to other websites in your signature unless it is something personal like a photo album or your own homepage.

  17. Welcome to the forum. That 351 is obviously not stock, sounds like it may even be stroked out to as much as 408 cu in. Not sure how readily available high octane gas is in your area or the cost but if I ws on a teenagers budget I wouldn't want to have to deal with that, heck even at my age and means I wouldn['t want to deal with that. Personally I would consider starting out smaller like say a 302. Even though stock is less than 200 HP it can easily be warmed up to 300 with fairly inexpensive upgrades that will also allow for further improvements down the road as he matures and gets used to handling the car like say a 331 or 347 stroker kit for example. Since your base is a 250 I wouldn't be surprised if it had non power steering and drum brakes still and the last thing you want is more go with out enough whoa so going too big too fast means upgrading all sorts of other stuff on the car too and needing a big budget.

    to be contnued.......

  18. As for the floors you have to do what you have to do some times, most would frown on this approach but you aren't building it to resell so only you will really know. You will have to make sure it is completely sealed though top and bottom and I would use a good undercoating as well, any moisture or sand can and will seep into the smallest cracks and cause worse rust than you replaced. The automotive industry has been bonding more and more parts to cars instead of welding for over a decade now with no issues what so ever, do a google search for "bonding instead of welding" and you will find all kinds of info, process and technique.

    Good luck!

  19. I don't believe so, I have never entered one but I think it works like any other thread.

  20. Make an offer is just fine or post a question in the garage to ask how others determine is fine as well. I'm sure the most common response will be they search ebay or google for what others are asking and then compare their conditions. If the part is available repro then new cost vs. quality is good to know as well. Parts not reproduced can fetch good money in almost any condition.
