  1. I have a factory 1969 chrome grill on my car and want to get it restored. I looked into this years ago but don't really remember why I never pursued it. It seems like the plastic plating process has evolved over the last few years though and i was wondering if anyone had any experience with it? Here is one of the first places that pop up on a search....I'm thinking something like this but open to options. I wont be painting it however...:) here is an example of a place. http://www.paulschrome.com/index.php/what-we-do/we-chrome-plastic
  2. West Coast Cougar Cougar has a ton of power window items for our cars......well cougars but it would be cool to have a vintage type switch. I actually sold them my pancake motors I had.
  3. thanks! DB....its been too long! Time to get back into it. Ordered everything to redo my window regulators and finally complete my bolt in glass swap(after 6 years lol)
  4. I redid one in illustrator for a 84 three wheeler once.....what a pain! good work and you're a good dude for sharing!
  5. Looking to keep the coupe a little cooler than it runs(plus I guess i need a bigger radiator here in Texas as opposed to SOCAL) This is a pretty sick '69 coupe in the first link below and looking at some of his mods I noticed his cooling fans. I tried a Taurus fan years ago but its too tall and rubs the water pump pulley. Anyone else have any experience with this swap with the contour fans??? here are some links to ponder over. I'll be buying sooner or later and though id tap you brains first. http://www.popularhotrodding.com/features/1205phr_1969_ford_mustang_coupe/photo_12.html Write up.... http://www.musclemustangfastfords.com/tech/mmfp_0907_thermostatically_controlled_electric_fan_upgrade/ wiring info....http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f8/wiring-fan-ford-contour-861468/ http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f8/electrical-fan-wiring-question-540759/index3.html
  6. It's been a long time since my last post...maybe a couple years? Anyway I'm still alive and kicking. I just thought I'd show my spring cleaning pictures. Let me know if you guys can see these pictures or no.
  7. yeah pak is right, its a standard feature for a grande.
  8. yeah pak is right, its a standard feature for a grande.
  9. I figured it out. Ill try to keep up with it. You guys are the ears and eyes and we appreciate all the help!
  10. That's true, Pak is the man but he's not alone, I've been getting them as soon as I can too. too. I can't ban a user I don't think, at least not from my phone.
  11. That's ok, we all have to vent some time and i give you points for the well executed use of the word tool... I remember driving around town and there were 5 or 6 old mustangs hanging out at different places. Over the years these have dried up which is kind of sad to me. There is just something about the potential in one of these cars.
  12. I've been maimed so many times now, including that stupid bracket that my wife requires me to wear a protective layer of Nerf before entering the garage to work on my car. lol
  13. How far is the headliner tucked under the lip? That could cause an issue. Also, can you tell if it's leaking between the gasket and the body or between the glass and the gasket? Did you replace any of the panels around the windows? I would say if it is between the body and the gasket, possibly (lightly) scuff the paint on the lip to give the compound something to bite on to like scuffing primer. Also test the compound on the surface when it is clean to see how it cures to the paint. Make sure the surfaces are CLEAN too! Let us know what you find. Good luck.
  14. Thank but it's not a debate about EFI or carbs, it's a discussion about this product. I know there are pros and cons to both systems and made that decision about going EFI years ago. I'm running Mass-Flo right not but thought it would be cool to explore other avenues....like this one. I'm a fan of the AFB carbs, simple to work on, easy to tune and a dime a dozen. I had several through highschool and also badass spead boar holly built by Devinci Carbs as a custon build(because he typically did only race square boar, no choke) on my brothers '67. And you're right you can get good performance and street-ability out of them but this is simply not the intention of this discussion.
  15. Not saying I'm getting it, just saying it was cool and thought I'd share. Currently, too rich for me too.
  16. looks like it'll be about 2300.00 for the setup. Just was released at SEMA the other day and won the Best New Product award. I still think it's pretty cool. I might be converting.
  17. You could have someone install it then when it leaks it would be on them to fix it.
  18. these are pretty nice! Keep us posted on the install! Thanks for sharing!
  19. I'm not really thrilled with my Mass-flo setup. I think it has drive-ability issues. In the systems defense, i rebuilt the motor at the same time that i installed the EFI setup so it my be in the motor....but it's hard to tell just on my own. Something like this would have been pretty cool when I was looking to build my set-up.
  20. agree.....keep the drums unless you really want 4x disc's. Street car will do just fine with that set-up!
  21. That was a pretty kick ass show. 2 more for this season and that's it till next year! My buddy Shane followed in his '69 Camero. The wives and kids followed us up. Here are a couple pictures.....
  22. I'll be heading out in the 69 Grande on Saturday. Should be a pretty cool show. I went a couple times last year and had a good time. Here's a link and a flyer for the show. It's every Saturday night until November 12th. http://niftee50ees.com/home.html
  23. +2 for the felpro one piece. You'll have trouble in the future if you pull the timing chain cover while the motor is in the car but if you're not worried about that.....go for it.
