Next step after completeing metal work & paint?
t70stang replied to Mike65's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
My car just got painted. Just about to finish suspension, going to test fit motor and transmission to finalize stance. Have an American Auto Wire chassis wiring harness I will be installing along with Electric Power Steering. Will Fat Mat the crap outta the car; floor, roof, doors, trunk, quarters, etc... Brakes already done for now. Fuel system. Wheels/Tires. Finalize Turbo kit... ;) -
I made a major mistake and did not fit the rear valence before paint. Now where the inner tabs on both ends meet with the inner rear quarter, one side is not recessed enough for the valence to fit snug. The rear right quarter is a repop we installed and the lower rear panel does not have a recessed spot like the original. So in order to fit the valence tab I have to either cut a hole or dent it in... I do not want to damage the paint severely, so what do yall recommend? Thanks.

Dangit! Just missed this! -
Parting out 70 Coupe. Lots of good stuff

Sorry if I missed it, but do you have manual steering components? -
I would just make a decision on using factory doors or repops. I went with repops on both sides to make it even. I would only worry about the gaps being correct.

...With a granada 9" rear? It is narrower than the usual stang housing. 15x10, 6.5 BS. Looking to purchase soon. Thanks in advance!

Awesome! Cool job you have too, I have the zig shoes for running. -
I wonder how it works with forced induction

If I remember correctly off the top of my head it is accessed behind the rear seat. Right at the top of the hump on the floor above the rear end.

1970 with built powerglide, any experience?
t70stang replied to t70stang's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
Im running the tall gears because of the turbo. The glide has a brake and from the research Ive done it should perform pretty well. Lag should be minimal. So far Ive seen that no modifying would be needed unless I want need to run a shield. -
