  1. Yes, that is the same place that I am sourcing mine from...RPC. I paid a bit more at $717.95 with free shipping. I actually ordered the Silver Face with Blue Display. Clock is satin alloy with Blue Display. The clock was $142.00. Really looking forward to seeing your photographs. BT
  2. GREAT!! I ordered mine today. I also ordered the new VLC (Analog) clock instead of the VLC (Digital) clock to go along with the VHX system. Going with the carbon and blue...I think that is what you were considering. Looking forward to seeing your installed photographs! BT
  3. GREAT and TIMELY thread as I am installing the reinforcement plates to my towers and was confused as to how they should be installed. . It looks like I will have to trim some from the sides of the plates also to make it work properly. BT
  4. Very NICE, indeed! I love how you have taken full benefit of the cross-utilization of parts to make your Mustang extremely personal...GREAT job!! BT
  5. Bringing this back to "the top", since it has been a while. Has anyone had them installed yet? I am about ready to "pull the trigger!" BT
  6. For any of you who might have been or might currently be experiencing the same situation (converting a column shifted C6 to a floor shifted c6), it appears "Mustang Unlimited" is carrying a reproduction of the lever needed. http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=67A256+01 BT
  7. For a daily driver, I agree with Mike and Kris . Based on what you apparently already have, I would spring for the after market gauges and AC. I personally like the new Dakota Digital VHX (coupled with their VLK add on Message Center). For AC, I like the Vintage Air Sure Fit. ...my $.02. BT
  8. Here is a link that shows a column shifted one. The part I need is similar to #992 and #997. Keep in mind that this "view" is of a column shifted C6 so #997 should be slightly different for a floor shifted C6. https://www.wittrans.com/Schematic.aspx?Transmission=C-6&Schematic=5 Thanks! BT
  9. Just in case you missed this one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Mustang-Mach-1-351C-Shaker-Ram-Air-Cleaner-Assembly-OEM-/231087949740?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35cdea47ac&vxp=mtr BT
  10. For anyone who might have a "junk" Floor shifted C6, I am looking for the detent lever. Let me know what you have and what you want for it. Thanks! BT
  11. Can you post pictures or send to btw3073@comcast.net Thanks! BT
  12. Yes Mike, you nailed it as he was referring to the nylon spacer that goes between the bushing. According to him, the original spacer (or sleeve) is metal but the ones I ordered from NPD works perfectly. Thanks again, Guys! BT
  13. It appears you guys were "on it." I spoke with my Restorer and shared your comments and the attached link from NPD. According to him, this link appears to be a representation of the needed part but he states the original was in "metal." He believes this one will work. http://www.npdlink.com/store/products/1969_mustang_power_brake_pedal_pivot_sleeve_nylon-178792-347.html?shop_by_year=1969 I don't have a clue but have ordered a couple of them. Thanks again, Guys! BT
  14. I will go over to my Restorer's and take a picture to post up on Monday. Thanks, Guys! BT
  15. Perhaps I am not identifying the part properly. See this link: http://www.mustangsteve.com/fyi_brakepedals/msFAQbrakepedals.html In the link, I am looking for the metal bushing that is depicted at the top of each of the brake pedals shown in the first photograph. As previously stated, I understand they are all the same. Thanks! BT
  16. Does anyone have a source or have for sale any of the metal (steel, I believe) bushings use on the brake pedal? I understand they are all the same, whether it is power or manual brakes. My Restorer has quite a few pedals assemblies but we need the metal cylindrical bushing. I am trying not to buy a complete assembly just to acquire that one part. Thanks! BT
  17. According to the "1969 Mustang Illustrated Facts and Specification Manual", the tachometer was an "option" on the 1969 Boss 302. BT
  18. Yes, it appears a LOT of work went into that transformation. i was particularly impressed with the 660 rwhp and 580 lb-ft of torque. I also loved the fact that a 1969 Mustang made the "Cover." In short, I LIKE it! Bt
  19. According to my reference (Hollander Interchange Manual), the drive shaft in your 289 2V 28 spline yoke Convertible has a length of 50 31/32". With your change to the 428, I take it you are going to the 31 spline rear end with the appropriate 31 spline yoke. The 428 (with the 31 spline yoke) came with a drive shaft that was 46 19/32" long. If you are not going to change the rear end, I would strongly suggest that you measure as noted in a previous post...shucks, I would measure anyway. BT
  20. To respond to the first question...Yes, the Magnum 500s were an option on the 1969 Mustang. There were 467 Fastbacks built that year with the Magnum 500s. In 1970, there were 2,634. Source: Mustang...by the Numbers (1967-1973) by Kevin Marti Bt
  21. I tell you, THAT makes my brain hurt just thinking about it. Why did you put that thought in my head? It WOULD definitely be a positive approach but being a BIG block fan, I would probably rather do as "Max Power" stated --go with some version of the 429/460. GREAT topic! BT
  22. Will go over to my "Restorer" in the next day or so and take some pictures to post up. BT
  23. To me, it comes down to what one wants for his or herself out of the hobby. As someone who currently owns four different Mustangs, I can honestly say that each of my Mustangs has been (and continues to be) modified to suit me, not some future buyer. That does not detract from your voicing your opinion since that is what the OP asked for but I will go on record to say I like blacked out rear panels and headlight buckets. Heck, I also like stripes on our cars. Just my $.02. BT
