  1. Did you ever get this project finished? I want to do the Shelby mod to my '69 coupe and I'm curious how yours turned out. If so would you post some pictures of it?
  2. I'm running 17's with 245/45's up front. My fenders are rolled and I'm running 1" lowering springs (620's), Bilstien shocks, shelby drop, roller perches and a new 1" sway bar. I'm running a 351 Cleveland which is close to the weight of a big block. I really cannot comment on the ride quality as I haven't had it on the road yet. To me the front end seem soft, but again I won't know how it handles and rides till spring.
  3. Now that I see an 18 Magnum, I have to say I like it....
  4. I don't think I would go bigger than a 16" on a Magnum. Personally I think that is even too big.
  5. My car came with 245/60/14's up front on 7" wide rims. I never drove it that way as I pulled the wheels off. The previous owner did have the fenders rolled.
  6. I've got 17" Foose wheels. 245/45 up front with 255/45 in the back.
  7. Looks good, the engine isn't as tight a fit as I would have thought
  8. I have no idea if they are OEM or aftermarket. They were on the car when I got it. I do know that it has a ford part number sprayed on the inside of the fender but I don't know if that means anything.
  9. Getting the front end back together. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to get the hood flush in the front. I see a lot of mustangs with the hood not flush and I don't like it....
  10. I've made some good progress this past week, installed the new 1" front sway bar, and installed new sway bar links on the rear bar. Yesterday I finally got the brakes hooked up and working properly, and the new fuel line installed. So this was my first attempt to move the car under it own power. It's nice to look at it in real light vs florescent lighting, the yellow looks much better outside. The big project right now is insulating my garage. I'm finishing up that project today, then I can work on the car even when its cold out, and this winter it's been cold.....
  11. I personally have had great luck with Napa Gold batteries. Stay away from Optimas, you will read 20 bad stories to one good story. Not worth the expense in my opinion.
  12. Does anyone know the hole sizes for the door wiring? From what I can tell the door and body holes are different.
  13. I've got a wide-ratio toploader that I just went through, ended up putting a new input shaft in it along with new front bearing and all seals and gaskets. I also have clutch pedal, z-bar and all the linkages. Basically everything you need except for the belhousing. Let me know if you're interested.
  14. It's really simple, do you have a spring compressor? Preferably one that is on the inside of the spring.
  15. I've got a new set of Moog outer tierod ends that will fit a 1970 spindle. I ended up going with a baer bumpsteer kit and no long need these. $40 for both and there yours.
  16. I haven't paid a handling fee for a while. Check it out, everything is still free. I ordered a timing tape last week and there were no shipping or handling fees, and it was shipped fed ex and it was only a 5.99 part.
  17. Thanks! Is the paint.net app part of the 69stang webpage apps?
  18. The engine is finally done other than the gasket on the top of the air cleaner. A few other odds and ends in the engine bay and that area is finished. Anyone know why I cannot insert this image right side up? So matter how I take it, the site post it sideways.
  19. I'm running a 351C with Hooker comps in my '69 and they fit fine. The only issue that I see is one tube is really close to my idler arm.
  20. Do you guys know if all the tank to carb fuel lines are bent to fit in a smaller box? CJ ships fuel lines at no charge but I know they bend them in half. Branda, and others charge up to $20.00 to ship fuel lines but they don't say if they are bent in half to ship in a smaller box. Also what is needed to unbend the fuel line. Most lines that have dealt with are stiff and not going to be bent with out line benders. Anyway- just wondering who I should by the fuel line from for the least amount of fitment headaches.
  21. Just in case anyone else is curious about this, a stock air cleaner will fit under the hood with a 351C with a Torker Intake. I may even have enough room to run a 1" carb spacer.
