  1. Forgot to mention I purchased the rear valence from Shelby Parts and Restorations http://s247533021.onlinehome.us/catalog/ It may be expensive but the problem I encountered in cutting one out was the aftermarket valences are junk to begin with and too thin. When you cut out the hole for the pod the valence is so thin the remaining metal cannot support itself and bends if you pick it up wrong. Shelby Parts and Restorations valence is a quality piece made from heavy gauge steel with the hole cut with a plasma cutter. Very little work was needed on mine to get it to fit perfect.
  2. 3" is extremely tight. 2-1/2" would work just as well with less problems. I built my collector out of 3" stainless and some stainless plate. less restrictive than the factory cast piece. Depending on your planned use you could install motorized cutouts ahead of the transitions around the fuel tank to reduce flow restriction.
  3. FYI you may have alignment issues using coupe quarter windows in a convertible. Here is a link to this topic where I have photos showing the difference. I have heard of people using coupe quarter glass on bolt in conversions but you may have to spend some time on getting the alignment right. http://www.1969stang.com/mustang/forum/showthread.php?t=9151&highlight=convertible+glass
  4. Talk to Brent at B2Motorsports http://www.b2motorsportsllc.com/ He frequents the Ford FE Forum and is a stand up guy that knows clutches. He set me up with a Mc Leod dual disc setup at a price that beat the big mail order sites.
  5. I built my rotisserie from plans I purchased from ebay. Great design and strong. I have about $700 in it total. Plans were $10 if I remember.
  6. There is a difference between coupe and convertible quarter windows. In this photo there is a 70 coupe window with a 70 convertible window on top. The front and bottom edges are lined up. You can see the difference. This photo has a 69 convertible quarter window on top of a 70 convertible window. The contours are the same. The front edge on the 69 is different due to the weatherstrip is on the door glass.
  7. I can take more pics but the car is still on it. I have about $600 in it. Plans $10. Steel will vary depending on where you get it from so shop around. I have about 25 hours in construction.
  8. Home built Rotissery. Spins free except when engine and trans mockup are in.
  9. That ash tray is Shelby Specific. A while back there was talk of someone doing a reproduction run on them but I never heard anything else. You can find them every once and a while on E-Pay. Check with Tony Branda and he may know if there are any reproduction ones available. The real ones still command a high price. Link: http://www.cobranda.com/
