Machspeed 219 Report post Posted September 1, 2017 Hey friends, I need to purchase a quality radio antenna for my car. Want concours not necessarily OEM. So much junk out there these days, I don't know what to get. Can anyone advise? Thanks, John
69RavenConv 286 Report post Posted September 1, 2017 I was able to pick up an OEM Ford service replacement part many years ago but I don't know where to find one today. They are probably still out there if you check the usual spots - eBay, Craigslist and post PARTS WANTED on the better Mustang forums. Marcus Anghel wrote a nice piece on antennas (link below) that tells you what to look for. Finding it is the hard part. The usual vendors all sell incorrect (non-concours) antennas that will work if all else fails. Good Luck! http://anghelrestorations.com/uploads/3/1/7/6/3176630/antennas_v1.1.pdf
LiLMike 42 Report post Posted September 4, 2017 I went with a power antenna I found on ebay. I wanted one that had the square base. Just had to take the passenger door off to mount it but it looks great.
1969Fstback 58 Report post Posted September 5, 2017 I took mine off and welded up the hole. It was oem, I think. If you are interested and I can find it, I can send you some pics.
