Rsanter 152 Report post Posted March 15, 2017 No dice as far as I know... Best bet and what I have always done is to put the headers in the compartment and drip the engine in. When the engine is most of the way in you can fiddle with the headers to get the engine in its place and then attach the headers If you have a lift or a way to have the car in the air a fair amount , then lifting the engine a bit or having the engine almost in and then stabbing the headers from the bottom works as well Bob

LoneWolf2U 136 Report post Posted March 15, 2017 In short it can be done, BUT you need to raise the rear of the car a lot! When installing in this manner the long tubes will hit the firewall and bind. You need the engine and trans pointing almost straight up then raise the rear of the trans when lowering it in. Easier to drop the engine/trans in part way and slip in the headers at that point.
SM69Mach 68 Report post Posted March 15, 2017 I was never able to get mine installed with the headers attached. Always snaked them in after engine was almost in place
