RPM 1,190 Report post Posted September 30, 2016 Selling these cars can't be fun, even if you make a profit. Who ever says they're glad they sold a Mustang? Was the buyer local?
Ridge Runner 1,113 Report post Posted September 30, 2016 Fresno . It is kind of like sending a pet off to slaughter HAHA .You just know the guy is going to chop it all up .
Ridge Runner 1,113 Report post Posted September 30, 2016 The thought of the guy putting it together with miss matched bolts ,wrong clips, and dare i say ...The possible LS swap,NOOOOOOOO!!!!
MikeStang 247 Report post Posted September 30, 2016 Good Job Ridge, now get that 69 together. My friend and I have kicked the idea about of building a few cars to make a few dollars, but for what people are willing to pay you wouldn't really make any money unless you got the car for almost free and didn't have to do a Ton of work to it.I would really enjoy building a few cars for cash, but no one seems to have the money for it these days :(
Ridge Runner 1,113 Report post Posted September 30, 2016 Yep ,even with the fact that it has been taken to bare metal ,even though the metal is all new and the body work ..witch was little to nothing ,is done .It had been sealed, panels fit ,all the fiberglass added inside and out , and the ford tooling fenders and rear valance, epoxy primed inside and out .All the stainless is there for everything and all the fast back glass ,i couldn't even get an offer for more than the cost of the new metal .I kept getting the old i could buy a Dynacorn body for that , well no ...you couldn't ,and you also didn't get a pink slip for a Dynacorn body ,something that is hard to do in Cali. I don't know ,people like to do it the hard way i guess .

Good Luck....Go Team!!!!! I do my own painting and i have been saving the paint just for this one .The interior doesn't need much since there is no back seat ,just a seat shelf ,so it is mostly painting ,dash pad ,door panels carpet and the elusive Top loader 4 speed .I have everything else .The front suspension and the motor are done and waiting . ray1970 88 Report post Posted October 1, 2016 I have also painted and sanded-welded and filled all my own cars and that saves a large pile of money and blame on how it came out... I dont do it every day so it takes time to get up to speed... I love the saying "It only needs" My father used that saying a lot on my mom...Car after car..(20+) Two years and $2500.00 to $25000.00 or so later it was always done...
