rad shroud help

Recommended Posts

when i finished my engine swap this spring, i ended up having to cut my fan shroud in half for it to clear the fans. I installed a Champion 3 row, 24",  passenger side radiator and with the stock shroud it would hit the fans. So i cut it in half, and was using the lower half but it looked trashy. Wanting to find a shroud that will work with the thicker radiator. Anyone have any suggestions?

im seriously considering it. the only think that im worried about is if my new alternator i just bought can handle it. i think i went to the 65 amp one even though i don't have AC. ive been following a thread on VMF where a guy put one on his 69 vert.

Just upgrade to a 100+ amp Alt and be done with it.

The conversion isn't hard

Altho the 65 Amp Might handle it, you will just need to wire the fans to relays and use a cheap controller to trigger the relays... The biggest hit is when the fans come on but after they are on and going their amp draw drops off a lot.
