1969_Mach1 333 Report post Posted August 19, 2015 Nice video's. I've always liked the FE series engines. I had a 390 in a 1956 F100 pick up when I was younger. But for me a billet aluminum copy isn't as desirable as the original. FE engines are hard to find these days. It would be great if somebody was casting new blocks. RPM 1,190 Report post Posted August 19, 2015 Nice video's. I've always liked the FE series engines. I had a 390 in a 1956 F100 pick up when I was younger. Hmm...I too had a 390 in a 56 F100 when I was younger too.. Very cool video, I viewed it a while back. I can't imagine the time and money involved to get it done. From the machines to the fixtures, writing the programs, yikes! I couldn't afford the block of aluminium.
Rsmach1 71 Report post Posted August 19, 2015 So what are these old FE blocks worth today? I actually still have an old 352 block that was bored to stock 390 bore, a 390 crank and a set of PI rods.
Wycked69 20 Report post Posted August 20, 2015 Who doesn't like a nice FE motor ? I like this 427 aluminum Block design. Tod Buttermore makes an aluminum 351C block that's quite impressive as well.
