Coupe Deluxe-Grande Quarter Trim

Recommended Posts

I have a 69 coupe with the standard interior with textured steel quarter trims. Is there any difference with the Deluxe/Grande interior quarter trims (vinyl covering, arm rests etc)? Can any one post some pictures showing any difference?

Thanks Shaun

Grandes in 69/70 had woodgrain trim and a little armrest built in to the rear panel. I think it may have been an option within the grande package. I have several sets of them. Its the same steel panel covered with padded vinyl with the trim plate and armrest added. None of it is reproduced.

They pop up on ebay occassionally, I think there is a really rough pair of them on there now.

I've got a pair in my GT Coupe that I pulled out of a salvage yard Grande' way back in the 80's ... they were dirty but in perfect shape. I thought all Grande's had these, but maybe not.

Pictures of mine are on page 3 of my album ...

Really disliked the plain painted textured steel ones that were in my car (and every other coupe I'd seen), so I was pretty exited when I ran across these !!

Thanks for the info and pics, guys. I was looking into whether there was reproduction trim for the quarters. The other option was to buy some vinyl and trimming them myself. I'm not a big fan of the plain steel.
