glue in window success

Recommended Posts

The couple times I did it I first had a glass shop do it & I watched them do it & then I tried myself & this is how I did it. Take off tghe door panel, put the glue in the brackets the window sets in, & set the window. The next part you might need a helper to hold the window. Close the door & start to raise the window while centering the window as you raise it. Raise the window all the way & let the glue dry for a day or two. The two times I did it this way it worked great.

I like that method. Glueing the glass to the brackets off the door sounds like a gamble to me. I'm a long way from that point though!

JTG, if you were refering to my post I glued the glass to the brackets in the door & the align the window & raise it in to place with the door closed & let it dry. I am converting to the bolt in glass on my 69 Coupe.
