Gnats 10 Report post Posted March 25, 2012 Hello all, A newbie here from Maine. I've been a 69/70 mustang fan since 1970, when my uncle brought home a new 70 MachI. He gave his little nephew a ride that he never forgot! I've had a number of mustangs over the years. First was a 70 vert that was all rusted out, so it got parted out (back before there were any replacement panels). Then I bought a 70 convertible which I still have. Next was an 85GT, I rolled it, repaired it, and eventually sold it. A couple of years ago I bought a badly rusted out 69 convertible. I plan on doing a restomod with it, it'll go on an 89 Lincoln MkVII chassis (which I have). Two years ago I found a 95 mustang convertible base on Craigslist, which I bought for my wife, for $500. This winter I had the opportunity to buy a 1986 GT convertible for little money. So my coral is pretty full.
