  1. I ordered quarter panel extensions from CJ and the fit is terrible. Does anybody make them that fit or do I look for used OEM?
  2. I am also interested in this thread as I would also like to switch to EFI with my shaker. I have a 532 stroker so I need an EFI that has the higher HP capability (over 600). Atomic may be marginal but I see Fast EZ EFI release a new high HP version at SEMA.
  3. Here are a few more photos. The suspension is RideTech four link rear and strong arm front. The wheelhouse is stock with modifications made where it touched so no rubbing issues. Also got to keep the rear fold down seat that you cannot do when tubbing. The rear end is 1" shorter than stock to allow more dish in the wheel which I prefer.
  4. Is your engine already installed? The way to do it is bolt the headers on while the engine is pulled. Lift the engine high enough to tilt 45 degrees nose high. Lower into engine bay slowly leveling the engine as it goes in. It is tight, but it goes in that way.
  5. I have FPA on my FE. I have an AOD trans. which is a big transmission and do not have clearance problems
  6. You will have to add subframe connectors and stiff the engine bay at a minimum to reduce flex from all the power and torque. I have a 532 stroker with TCP subframe connectors and shock tower system. I still feel the flex when I get on it hard.
  7. I bought a set of Autometer carbon fiber gauges and then custom ordered a carbon fiber clock overlay from whitegauges.com to match. I sent the clock and overlay to The Tachman for quartz conversion and overlay install. Looks great.
  8. I bought one and it is very nice but over priced.
  9. I bought the TMI sport seats and new foam and had a shop put them together. It was expensive but turned out very nice.

  11. You can use your stock shifter with the Performance Automatic AOD shift linkage kit. I bought one but ended up using a rachet shifter. I have the brand new AOD linkage kit listed now on fleebay item #130645900849 if interested.

  14. Sorry to hear your problems with the new rack. It seems there is so many inferior products in the aftermarket business. I would hate to count the wasted $$$ I spent on these products. For the most part, I have found the bargains are not bargains once you try to install and use them (you get what you pay for). It seems racks are no different. The Randall's rack I bought was one of the few aftermarket parts that worked well for me. It cost more than other racks but it bolted on nicely and drives like a new modern car.
  15. The Tachman (tachman.com) repairs and restores the woodgrain inserts. I used him for some other work and was happy with the job. I do not know what he charges.
  16. Ditto on the Randall's Rack. Mine was literally bolt right on with zero issues. I would call Randall's to verify your set up.
  17. I sent mine to the Tachman. He does a great job for a reasonal price.
  18. My dad built the center console using the dimensions from the stock console with some changes to make it more comfortable (taller arm rest, shifter moved back, stuff like that). I bought the seats on ebay. They are from a 2008 mustang and were cloth. I bought the TMI Mach 1 retro covers. The seats are too high for the stock floor. You have to cut out the risers on the floor and beef up the floor pan and they bolt right in.

  20. The car is done (well they are never completely done). Only problem is when I gas it doing 60 the rear tires break loose and everything gets crazy. Must be a defect.

  22. I think I found the problem. I removed the brass float and it has gas in it. The float must not have been floating. I will try a new float.

  24. I have a Holley carb that is pooring fuel into the primaries as soon as the electric fuel pump starts causing an extreme flooded condition. I replaced the power valve and checked the float to verify it stops the fuel supply at the top limit. Fuel pressure is about 7. I first noticed this problem about a week ago when it seemed the engine was loading up at initial start but got better when it warmed up. Now it won't even start. Any ideas?
