  1. I believe every Mach built in 69 has "GT Equipment" listed on the Marti in the options list, I know mine does. You've got to check the body code, 63C makes it a Mach. A 69 GT sportsroof would be 63B, these cars had deluxe interior. I'm not sure if any 63A (standard interior) cars were built as GT's, I'm pretty sure they all had deluxe interior but I'm not positive on this point.
  2. Could be a late model mustang color called Screaming Yellow.
  3. Going with 70 quarters? Boss clone perhaps? Looking good!
  4. I'm trying to keep all my mods reversible, cutting holes in the doors was a no for me. I know it was a factory option, just couldn't bring myself to cut'm. I will have to be careful engaging the e-brake but there is room to do so. These are a viable front speaker option IMO, even for a manual shift car.
  5. You been drinking Mike? lol.....jk. Dunno what to say, they are crappy cell phone pics but I see no other way to mount'm. The speakers are not exposed, the second pic shows the grill the best. The grill is throwing you off a bit I think, you can get a good look at the speakers in the link I posted earlier. :-)

  11. Those are the ones, they are all from the same manufacturer I believe (MP Products). Notice the disclaimer in the ad about the grill overhang, my opinion is that the overhang is more than just slight. The speakers that come with the kickpanels from CJ are Rockford Fosgate 5 1/4". When I was ready to buy they didn't have any so I got mine from NPD WITHOUT speakers and bought the speakers seperate. I ended up returning the Rockfords and bought these, they have a low profile grill and fit perfectly. http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_components.php?comp_id=499

  13. I'll post some pics after work. The panels required some trimming but I'm surprisingly pleased with the results. It's close but I can set the e-brake and get my foot on the hi-beam and the car is a manual.

  15. FYI, if any of you plan on using these kick panels you should know that they won't hold a 5 1/4" speaker without the speaker grill hanging over the pod and looking rather stupid. The mounting pod is 5 1/4" top to bottom however, this size speaker has a grill that is always larger, overhanging the grill over the pod which I just couldn't live with. Do yourself a favor and purchase a 4" speaker no deeper than 2", it will fit perfect and look and sound great!

  19. Your car is stunning, would love to see more pics. Great Job!!!
  20. Somehow I have managed to misplace the screws for the mirrors. Does anyone know what size these little beauties are?
  21. Let me start by saying I should have known better lol. A good friend of mine suggested I allow his uncle who owns a small glass company to install the windshield and backlight in my project. Needless to say it didn't go well. For starters, the backlight leaks like a sieve. Also, he pumped so much urethane into the cavity between the glass and body it is impossible for me to snap on the mouldings. Needless to say I need to start over. I found a reputable local glass company to perform the work with experience with these cars and have made an appointment for them to come out next week. I need to make sure I have everything ready to go. Other than a new backlight rubber weatherstrip and some new clips, what else may I need that I'm forgetting? How many clips do I need total front and back?
  22. I started by attaching the passenger side bezel to the dash pad, three screws across the top and the two from behind via the plastic tabs on each side. Next I screwed the gauge bezel to the lower dash. Because I'm using the Year One bezel, it attached at the two plastic tabs on each side only. I set the dash pad in place and was able to get the three screws at the top easily. I started finagling it in place trying to line things up at the bottom/bezels and it quickly was apparent that the lower dash was not mating very well with the pad. In my case I had the lower dash completely out of the car and as you probably know, there is quite a bit of adjustment at the bolts/supports that secure the lower dash. When I reinstalled the lower dash I didn't give much thought about it, I just kinda installed it and tightened'r up. It was clear the lower dash had to be raised up to close the gap between the two halves. I was able to do this by loosening the bolts on each end of the lower dash, two on each side, and pushing it in toward the firewall. I basically pushed it in as much as I could, holding it there, and tightening up the bolts. You may also have to loosen the top bolt on the support brackets and jimmy those up a bit to bring up the center, it's surprising how flexible the lower dash can be! This got it close enough to get the rest of the fasteners installed and closed the gaps I had between the two. Hope this helps, it's a bit of trial and error. Pay close attention to the foam around the radio where it meets those trim pieces you modified, there is no protection there and taking the dash on and off can damage this area easily. I learned this the hard way twenty years ago when I installed the last one, a REAL Ford dash.
