  1. from what i remember it looked like your pictures
  2. det0360, when i switched to the tanks inc 16 gallon i try to use the 69 filler neck it bolted to the 70 tail lamp panel but the angle was to far off. so i went back to the 70 filler neck and used the fuel transfer hose ne-60 or ne 45 . cut to fit.
  3. MikeStang how noise are your lifter? does it last about a minute or two?
  4. before the comp lifter roller failed the was no lifter noise 6100 miles on the engine , oil used was hps street 10w30. now following the ajustment procedure i tuned just over a 1/2 of a turn . spec if .030 to .035 . stud is 7/16 x 20. a 1/2 turn is .025 and 3/4 is .375 , correct? for the first 100 miles it was quit with motorcraft 5w30 , started making noise right after start up would last a couple of minutes. change the oil to mobil 1 10w40 and adjusted to spec. was 100% better. theres 500 mile on the engine now and its noisy again. could valve spring pressure cause this? specs are seat pressure 155@1900 open pressure 475@1.1300 coil ind height 1.150
  5. MikeStang, Who did you talk to at morel and do you have there number?
  6. i had comp hydraulic roller link bar lifters and the roller failed and wiped out the camshaft. switch to the moral 5323 and they were quite for the first 100 miles, now they are noisy on start up. no other problems with them, expect on start up it can last a minute or two. Tried adjusted then a couple time as per morel web site. also used 5w30 and 10w40, is this normal for the morels to make noise? http://johncalliesinc.com/pdf/AdjustingMorelHydraulicLifters.pdf
  7. this is what worked for me a fram filter and russell filtting http://www.jegs.com/i/Fram-Autolite/410/G3727/10002/-1?parentProductId=1568062 http://www.jegs.com/i/Russell/799/648060/10002/-1
  8. prayers1 , here are a couple of screen shots of the fuel table, main setup and learned fuel table . u will see something different with the fitech efi. but it still will have a learned value. what i meant by the lock the ipw ( injector pulse width) . 10 inches of vacuum , the idle cell is normally would use the fuel table but the injector pulse width is to high , with the low vacuum it about 70 kpa . its highlighted in the fuel table. so i set the ipw to 2200 -7% of fuel to get me to a 14:1 afr at idle. the fitech efi you will not be able to mess with the fuel table . the fuel table is all preset with your inputs. its a starting point then the system start to learn. it will either add or subtract fuel. i would like to see what ray has because Bryce at fitech ( used to work at professional products) told me theirs no laptop tuning yet? pj3 ecu uses a 2 wire distributor boss efi i was using a ford tfi distributor.
  9. they didn't make to 22 gallon back then .when i had the 22 gallon tank i only put 10 gallons in it any ways. just bought a 69 fuel tank from cj pony i think it was 100.00. yes the fuel lines a steel 3/8 line. easy to bend and used an fitting. also yes on the sending unit wires and fuel pump wiring. the ecu turn on a relay and i have a 10 gauge wire from the battery to the pump.
  10. Bullet Cam lift 541/559, Dur 220/231, ICL 106 prayers1 , with this cam how much vacuum does the engine have. you need 10 inches of vacuum for a efi system. mine engine is a 347 clevor, the cam spec are: billet core hydraulic roller net lift 586/577 lobe separation is 111 . it makes 10 to 11 inches of vacuum. with my efi i need to lock my ipw. so i did mess up the learned fuel tables. since i no nothing about fitech , but used ken farrell earlier system Boss efi and pj3 (ecu). i like both system and i sure this system is better. from what i have read if a self learning system like fast ez efi. so do you homework before you buy the system check out the fast forum and holley forums . theres a lot of go info.
  11. This is what i did , aeromotive 16 gallon fuel tank (same fuel tank as tanks inc but aeromotive 340lph pump) i used my filler neck from the 70 and cut the supplied hose to fit. also bought 20 gallon fuel tank to use for the top and made a spacer in between the to.
  12. I am using the 16 gallon aeromotive fuel tank, with no modification to the filler neck. the fuel tank came with a 60° Universal Rubber Filler Neck. that was cut to fit. also picked up a 20 gallon tank and cut the bottom off and used the top to cover up the fuel line. also just a heads up, fitech is owned by Ken Farrell. i bought the boss efi system retrotek speed, back in 2008. by the time the car was running in 2011, he sold out to professional products and worked with them on the pj3. tech support was not helpful for either system. i did get the car running very well but the ecu failed in 2013, so i bought the pj3 v3.0 ecu. best price without buying a new efi system. the car is running great. i can't comment on their new efi system. If i was buying a completed efi system, i would go with the holley terminator. I have worked with this efi system. if i ever have another ecu failure, i will go with holley.

  14. so it looks like you will be going efi, with coil on plug. whose system? i read awhile back you were thinking or bought unsteer rack and pinion. i had mine for 5 years now. looking forward to seeing when you get to that stage.
