I think Wheel Vintiques has the 15" GT wheels and trim rings. Not 100% sure that is where I saw them. Dave R.

I chose those wheels because I liked the GT wheel look and didn't like the trim rings very much. The biggest reason for my going 15" is tire selection. Tons more to choose from and that little bit bigger tire fills the wheel well openings better. Just my opinion. The stock GT wheel in chrome without the trim rings makes a cleaner look in my eyes. Good luck. Dave R.

Ask buckeyedemon for pics. As I recall he has or used to have a lot of tire/wheel combination pics. Dave R.

Mine is Raven. Dave R.

Reaper69, mine are mounted in the car so it's tough to measure. Measuring the centers of the plastic plugs on the bottom of the floor pan seem to be 11 by 14, roughly. Good luck. Dave R.

shep69, look very closely. I don't think they are straight if by straight kevin427 means level. Dave R.

This car was posted for sale in a differently worded ad also on craigslist I believe. The text with the pictures was entirely different describing the car under the wrap and the glued on horn and wing. How easily the car could be returned to stock, white with blue racing stripes I believe. Very strange. Dave R.

Nice looking ride. Like the side stripe and paint color. Should be a fun little fella to drive. Enjoy. Dave R.

The Z-Lok hood lock mechanically locks the hood from opening and kills the coil. I havn't been on their website in a while but they did have a video of installing the unit on a early year Camaro. There are a number of way to keep the car from being driven off but none of those will stop a tow truck. Depends on how badly the thief wants your car. Dave R.

jholmes217, I like it just fine. It was recommended by the engine builder and he drag races Ford power. I think the Mutha Thumpr is the next more radical series of cams. The brakes are OK but a little more vacuum wouldn't hurt anything. Great exhaust note. Dave R.

Opportunities like yours are rare. Good luck. Pictures of the progress would be welcomed. Dave R.

Try allclassicmustang.com for your sender. They have lots of used and NOS parts. Dave R.

That is great. I replaced the under hood harness during the restoration and used the Wagner halogen sealed beams from NAPA as I recall. No problems other than being spoiled by the modern lighting on our daily drivers. Some more light for my Mach 1 would be welcome but I have NO interest in mounting relays and the additional wiring associated with that. If there is anything that looks sloppy it is a bunch of add-on wiring. Mine is just a "weather permitting" kind of car but many shows and cruise-ins last until well after dark. Stock appearance is important to me. I will put this on my to-do list. Thanks again moodster. Dave R.

6 hours ago, moodster said:I can confirm that the new LED lights I installed work extremely well for me. I'm not a lighting professional but the beam looks focused and is far brighter then the old halogens. After some slight aim adjustments to the beam, driving with them at night is a pleasure. The only negatives from a purely stock perspective is that the light is far whiter and the pigtail/controller coming off the back of the light must be tied up somewhere. The lens is not noticeably different from stock - most won't be able to tell it is LED.

So moodster, just to make sure that I understand correctly. The kit you refer to here is a direct replacement for the incandescent system in your "69? No added wiring or relays and they set right into the factory buckets? No problem blowing fuses? Sounds great to me. Thanks. Dave R.

Doesn't the door tag also have the VIN on it? It should. Mine does. If they match then either they belong to the car or both the dash VIN tag and the door were changed from a donor car. Did you check for the VIN's stamped into the top of the fender aprons? The Marti report is pretty reliable for the options for the VIN you give to them. If both VIN tags came from a different car then the Marti will describe that donor car, not that you couldn't make yours match the Marti. After all, your car is titled as the dash VIN. Dave R.

Sweet looking ride. Did you find a car that spent most of it's life in California and is rust free? And yes, they do go like stink. Good luck. Dave R.

Chelby-Ann, I don't know about the belts that are mentioned here but I used a set from Juliano's Hot Rod Parts in my '69 Mach 1. It had no belts at all when I bought it and Juliano's 3 point belts worked well for me. They have a big selection of belts. The "dumb" end of the shoulder belt and the retractor use the anchor point in the floor and the belt loops up to anchor above the door opening. The factory anchor point are used.Good luck. I don't have a better picture.

Welcome and nicely done. Beautiful cars. Dave R.

As I recall, a canister connects to a vacuum source and stores vacuum that the engine makes. A line from the canister to where the extra vacuum is needed supplies the vacuum as needed. Nothing but a hollow ball or can. A pump actually produces vacuum via an electric motor driven pump and supplies vacuum to the system. Dave R.

My guess is that the Drake wheel is a Wheel Vintiques wheel. I don't think Drake actually manufactures anything, just resells parts from various manufacturers. Drake may have parts made specifically for them to sell but my understanding is they are like CJ Pony, NPD and all the rest of the Mustang warehouses. I don't mean to sound critical. For all I know Wheel Vintiques may be reselling wheels made by someone else. No matter who owns the Mach 1 in the picture, it is gorgeous. Wow. Dave R.
