  1. Oh ya sure, rub it in that you guys are talking about cars that are actually running. Here are mine from a project build standpoint. 1. No garage big enough to do everything I need to do. 2. too many parts, not enough baggies. 3. too many parts, not enough boxes for the baggies. 4. not knowing what a part is or where it came from. 5. knowing that it will cost me 25K to finish, but have told the wife it is only 5K. 6. Only having 4 months of every year to actually work on my car because it is Winter the other 8 months. 7. Rebuilding my Mustang using a paint by numbers book. 8. Fearful that I will never get this project completed. 9. Not having enough patience to hang in there for the long haul 10. Having Mustang envy whenever I see a classic 69 stang drive by..... Bill from Ottawa
  2. Man, I can't wait to see your ride with the final coat of paint.....Thanks for the pixs. Bill from Ottawa
  3. Ah snow in lotus land, it looks good on ya, now you know how the rest of Canada feels. At least you are progressing on your car, enjoy the snow while it lasts, Spring is just two month away for you.. Bill from Ottawa where Winter is 8 months long....
  4. I still find it very reassuring that gems like this are sitting behind some barn or house on blocks, just waiting to be resurrected. I look forward to see how you progress with this car over the next few months, years hopefully not decades... Bill
  5. Good luck, and if you get the time, take lots of photos of your progress and feel free to post some on this website. Git R done. Bill
  6. Welcome. Seeing that you have restored a few classic cars in the past, I am sure that you will be able to give a lot of advice to other members. As mentioned, take lots of before and after photos, it is amazing the details that these guys can catch, and the advice that goes along with it. Bill from Ottawa, Canada
  7. It looks like your guy does good work, thanks for posting photos. Can't wait to see the finished product. Do you know what color you will be painting it. Bill
  8. As they say in sports, one can not appreciate victory without experiencing defeat....or in your case deknee...LOL Bill
  9. The car looks really good, I look forward to seeing photos of the finished product. Unfortunately I can't do any work here, it is too damn cold -25C (-10F), Brrr. Bill from Ottawa, Canada
  10. Is it standard for both sides to be stamped, I thought that it commonly was just the drivers side. Bill from freaking cold Canada...
  11. Do you have any progress photos of that part? (Bead seam part) Bill
  12. Nice job on the floors. Thankfully with my Mustang, the guy who was doing the restoration before me, only took out one side of the flooring. Hopefully that it has not made the car too unstable. When you put th enew floors in, did you have to weld the underside, or are you relying on the inside weld only, and then caulking the underside. If you do weld the underside, is the car on a rotisserie. Bill
  13. In your first photo in the pan that you have painted black, not sure what it is called, comparing it to my car, mine was removed. I have it still, but I was wondering why it would have been removed. I bought my car while it ws in the midst of a tear down and restoration. I would think that it should have been left in for the integrity of the strength of the car. The other side is still complete as they were doing one side before the other. Oh by the way, I take paypal and money orders as well, go Calgary go.... Bill
  14. The car looks like it will have a lot of potential. Feel free to post more pix of your fastback as well. Bill from Canada
  15. Post more pixs, especially for those of us who are living with snow right now.... Bill from Ottawa
  16. I think that the convertible looks better than the fastback. Somethings I like about the car, somethings I don't. I guess it will grow on me, especially after the aftermarket add-ons become available. Bill
  17. The color looks nice, I look forward to seeing the whole car painted as well. Bill
  18. Nice progress there. What confuses me is, what the hell do you need an ice scrapper for in Victoria. Your photos look great, but you may need to adjust the angle of your shots, so that you can have the benefits of the sun. Oh ya, I forgot, you are into the 90 days of doom and gloom weather. I like the color you chose, it will hide the color of the moss that will be growing on your ride...... And uh, no, it has not snowed yet.... Bill from Ottawa
  19. Man am I jealous. You are accomplishing in a very short period of time, what will take me years to get done. I don;t care if you are doing it yourself or not, the car looks like it is being done right. Thanks for the photogs, it keeps the rest of us dreaming.... Living the dream man... Bill in Ottawa
  20. ya, but at least it is sunny here. Make sure you put a set of fog lights on that rebuild of yours..... Ha, ha, ha.... Bill
  21. Love the photos, and I hope I can one day see my car at those stages. Keep them coming. Bill from Ottawa
  22. Be sure to get on your back and crawl under the car and look at the front and rear rails. Lift the carpet on the inside as well, and look for rust. Alot of the trouble spots are well hidden, but they car be fixed, you will dicover more upon the tear down of the car. Looks like a car with a lot of potential, enjoy it. Bill from Ottawa
