  1. Oh, i see, the 70 stang does not have the same mounting of headlight buckets. you have more room there.
  2. what a difference these show covers make. before - after !
  3. yea, there about, but now I'm chasing gremlins. has no power steering or brakes for the hydroboost. I'm changing the pump tomorrow, hoping that's it. then, of course, found two leaks. and a friggen belt squeal even though everything is new. never ends!
  4. I'm confused, the headlight bucket mounts in that spot. are you doing something different?
  5. Also a fyi, a lot of people on ebay sell the center vent from a cougar of the same year and say mustang/cougar.. Not true, the cougar one will not fit it is larger.
  6. Tomorrow, I re-install the exhaust, front trim and get a wheel alignment done, hope it all works with this transmission control I put in.
  7. Today I went to home depot and was looking for a piece of steel. I saw this "grate" stuff so I figured, why not fill in the bottom of the front valance. So I did.
  8. made a skid plate today, just in case that deep sump catches something.
  9. Red button is normal/ sport mode green light is OD off
  10. thx, its not as good as i wanted, but better than i expected. the worst part is finding the mark vii shifter cable. its not made and one guy on ebay sells them used for a lot of $$
  11. got my exhaust manifolds back today, sent them out to Jet-Hot for ceramic coating..they are gorgeous ! they are coated inside and out, and its not that powder coat stuff either,
  12. I was going to weld it, but had too much else to do. The jB weld actually worked really well. the leak was just seeping from around the bung, this seemed to fix it. well see in the long run.
  13. Got the dash back together today with my new vintage air unit. Added a Mark VIII shifter, an OD off light, and a Normal/Sport button for the US Shift computer.
  14. So I bought this power steering reservoir, all aluminum. hooked everything up, filled it, and overnight a puddle on the floor. so i figured its those damn -an fittings. tightened up again and still a leak. Turnes out those bungs leak from probably a bed weld. took it all apart, cleaned and used JB weld around the bungs. Let's see if that holds.
  15. well, even with the new tight support, looks like the exhaust still will hit the tranny. Oh well, more money!
  16. had to toss that tranny support, forgot all about the exhaust. made a new tighter one with square tube. now to wait for my manifolds to come back from ceramic coat to make sure it clears.
  17. thats my fab shop, its an industrial condo
  18. your right, yours looks better and actually shows some silver in there, This was painted by some hack who said it was silver jade.
  19. anything but Silver Jade, this is what my car looked like in 2001, I hated this color. My latest stang is getting painted Ferrari red ( rosso corsa )
  20. Ha, as you guessed it, I have a gash on one of my right knuckles :-)
  21. Today, the engine is back in, had to squeeze it in because of that MMR deep sump oil pan.
