  1. I'm getting sea sick watching the spinning nickel.... burp! :tongue_smilie: nice avatar!
  2. Mustangs Unlimited PARKING BRAKE ASSEMBLY 69 MUSTANG & COUGAR Parking Brake Assembly for 1969 Mustang & Cougar This is the assembly that bolts underneath the dash and actuates the emergency brake system. The pedal applies tension to the emergency brake cables, in turn actuating the driver/passenger side rear wheel parking brake mechanisms. Includes plastic pull handle and pedal with rubber pad.
  3. THANKS! BuckeyeDemon PERFECT! great pics! I'm moving forward again!
  4. Can anybody tell me what are the factory location for the roof emblems on a fastback? Have a new set of repo emblems but want to mount in as close to factory position as possible.... Will be using tape - not the studs.
  5. I think it is this set F3786 69 GRILLE MOLDING RETAINERS LWR CENTER NARROW (12)-HARDWARE EACH 10.00 but after looking you are probably best off calling Orders (800) 888-6473 - to also see if they have it in stock. Last order I placed with them didn't complete till Saturday - a whole three + weeks. It's the small screws and clips that they have to kit up....
  6. what happened to the "Z" bar? What did you replace it with? I went with the FPA headers $600 + shipping but sweet! Here is a pic of a set with the Dart heads http://www.fordpowertrain.com/351_w_dart_and_std.htm Give them a call, tell them the head type, clutch bar, R&P steering and other details as much as possible etc... and they will customize them with your name stamped on the flange! http://www.fordpowertrain.com/contactus.htm
  7. Looks like a good find. Mine came from Sumitt - A CoolTech dual core for $200. Fan was a 16" 3000 CFM single pusher for $100 Had to go pusher due to space limits with the March set up. I left the core radiator support and built in stand off intact. If I was to cut that out I could have gone with the setup in Post #1 and might at a later time but I didn't want to structurally modify the front radiator support - yet
  8. d.reese, had two weekends in the front end before Christine drove through the garage. Back at another two weekends to get her to this state! Thanks ........ it's a labor of love we know!
  9. Well, the young man's battle is over. Kyle died peacefully at his home on Saturday surrounded by his family. http://www.bellinghamherald.com/102/story/788261.html To all of you who sent him 'cards, thank you. The internet and these communities can bring value, connection and solace to many who need it.
  10. here is what I went through... Bought a 69 MACH1 with a 70 clip. Difference is as everybody states above PLUS! : 1 - side parking lights in fenders are cut in in 69 - not 70 2- Headlight buckets totally different 3- wiring harness to headlight buckets 4 - VALANCE is also different! 5- Grille is different 6- ALL AND EVERY HEADLIGHT moldings/ trim are comletely different! 7- center grill support is different! 8- oh ya - Stone Deflector is also differnet! 9 - and the stone deflector MOULDING and TRIM is also different! ..............but the front hood moulding is the same :clover: Even then putting her back to close to normal - the aftermarket fenders between left and right were 1/4 different in length. :scared: but I did get OEM buckets to bolt up! so.... if you have 70 ORIGINAL fenders that you will cut the heck out of for the "buckets" (being the light bulb receptacle in the fender end of course), and keeping the front 70 valance, and not worried about the side marker lights...... plan to rip everything else out to make her to what she was being a 69 Cost - ~$750.00 if you have the buckets..... here is where I am.... Good LUCK!
  11. CJ PONY and Mustang Unlimited sell those front valance bracket kits as shown in the pics above from littlered69stang.... between $7.95 and $10.95
  12. well she is at the body shop.... $700 of "front end parts are on order"! $100 for the 2 sets of headlight adjusters alone (Fed Ex sat delivery)- Is it worth it? yes, as she is being dragged over the line to finish state!
  13. Driving the Ford GT up. I'll be in the "G" Building with the others FGT's. Do look forward to meeting the other 69stang members that travel Carlisle. Look me up!
  14. Have a feeling a case of Insomnia is brewing! Congrats Pak!
  15. ..... as while at my favorites mechanic shop was laying the final tune up on her- SHE DROVE THROUGH HIS GARAGE WALL! He was adjusting the Holley 780 and she dropped into second gear, crashed his joke box, went through the wall juke box first, knocked the air compressor off the stand, shifted a 200 gal race fuel tank and was heading for the pool when she finally died. Dave was able to pull the coil wire as she speed by him which caused her to stop. He was taching her up and adjusting the carb when it happened. I'm thanking the big guy that he was on the side of the car - not in front of her. He's also lucky his German Sheppard wasn't sleeping on the blanket next to the jukebox! I was planning on taking her back to the body shop in a month for the final but she is back there today. Damage; 1/ headlight buckets (already picked up two original with perfect tabs today for $300 - nothing like original buckets!) 2/ stone deflector 3/ grille shattered 4/ grille support bracket 5/ valance 6/ major hood alignment and who knows what else...... Dave the mechanic took off for vegas today. I've having him place a bet on the roulette wheel for wheel hoping his luck holds out! Christine should be final by April now. While I drove her to the body and she being a toothless gal - she did feel GREAT! The 408 stroker is a hot setup! The torque is amazing. She pulls like my Ford GT in second! Yee Ha! Be nice to me Christine..... please girl
  16. I went with a pre made Magnaflow 2.5" Stainless Steel kit. Good idea - bad execution. The font bolted up well, the x-pipe great, the mufflers - fine but that's where it went to crap. For the loops over the rear axle the premade SS pipes were just to tight in that it damaged the brake lines. The only way to fit was drop the sway bar which was a no go.... So today I have stainless 2.5 dual with magnaflows but aluminized pipes over the axle :whistling: My advice - spend the money with a local shop. It will be cheaper in the long run. Find a good one that works on hot rods not the hour special ones.....

  18. There's a young boy in my friends hometown who l-o-v-e-s to get Christmas cards. I don't know WHY he does - he just does! And that evidently is all he's really interested in getting for Christmas. Seriously. (My friends local paper did an article on him the other day.) The little guy is seven years old and has an inoperable brain tumor. I don't think any further info is necessary. Would you guys please take a minute and send him a Christmas card? It'd mean a lot to the little man. (I'd bet he'd go NUTS over cards from out of state - AND ESPECIALLY FROM OVERSEAS!!!) Here's a link to the story...if the darn thing works: http://www.bellinghamherald.com/255/story/722053.html Thanks, guys (and gals!) Mike (MAD IN NC) Kyle Roger 837 S.
