  1. do you know what they used if you don't have a console?
  2. I saw some pictures of cars with ac and it looks like the have a plate on the engine bay side of the firewall and that confused me. Appreciate the pictures. What goes into the side of the box? The service manual has a picture with a plenum that looks like a 65/66 plenum but that is not correct. My car came disassembled but had a piece with a DIZA designation on it but I don't think it is correct either. NPD has a plenum but mentions it is for console diverter. Anyway, thanks for all the help. I will be asking more questions as I am new to the 69/70 cars
  3. I would definately appreciate any pictures. I found a piece that looks like that from npd but it indicates something about use with console. I am not planning on a console since I moved my parking brake to the center of the tunnel
  4. From yours pics it looks like there is no additional plate on the firewall. That looks like what I have. Any pics of what the interior plenum looks like. I do not have the console. I have the v shaped plastic plenum that goes on top to the defrost but I am missing what goes into the side of the box. thanks
  5. got those in after reading on the board. The blower motor has a plate on it that closes the larger opening that the squirrel cage goes in. Is there a plate on the inside and the outside of the firewall. Mine seems to want to go in between the cage and the blower motor and then be on the inside of the firewall and then just have the studs poke through the firewall and place nuts on them. All the pictures i can find have the ac version and it appears to have a plate on the outside. thanks again
  6. installing heater box on non ac car. Is there a plate on the outside of the firewall as well as on the inside? I have one plate that seems to want to go on the inside of the firewall and then bolt the five studs thru the firewall. thanks
  7. Mine is a 69 that had glue in glass and i have been searching for all the parts to change to bolt in and the brackets i got a hold of are minus the rubber insulators. Should be a good project for the weekend. Sounds like you are going to need to replace yours. I got a response on the boss 302 registry that you can now order them from npd PN 232A88-3A but they are not in the catalog. Of course I just ordered all the misc pieces today such as guides, bushing etc.
  8. thanks that would be great. Are they rubber or what kind of material?
  9. I already have a set of bracket they just don't have the rubber on them. Form pictures of them it looks like tire tube rubber maybe 1/16 thick. I found some baseboard molding that is 1/8 thick but It looks too thick. maybe it is not really an issue, i just don't want to go to the trouble of aligning the window glass only to figure out that this insulator/rubber is to thick. thanks
  10. doing the 70 mustang bolt in glass and have the 70 plates but no rubber on them. What have others been using and how thick is it.
  11. Can i reuse a replacement underhood/headlight wiring harness from a tach car in my non tach car? The underdash wiring harness in my car is a nontach and I am using an aftermarket tach. What would i need to do with the wires going to the tach? thanks
  12. Mine does not have any indication which is front or back as it is a fastback but i think i have it now after trying both end. I will try the string tip. also, any idea on how to get the shoulder seat belt out. Mine has this plastic thing on it that covers the bolt and I can't see how to get the plastic off.
  13. starting to install new headliner in my fastback. the headliner is from scott drake. Is there a front and back to this?
  14. I have those 7 but I thought there was a piece that catches the end corner of the lower molding and it screws into the windshield pillar. I don't know if they come with the molding as I don't have any. If you open the car door and look up into the corner up there I bet that one could see it.
  15. Does the clip that is in the lower windshield corner look like the others that run across the cowl area. I cannot find mine and I am not exactly sure what they look like. I think it screws to the roof pillar and catches the end right before the door. Any pics would be great. thanks
