aslanefe 333 Report post Posted October 11, 2020 Helping a friend with his 69 428 CJ. He is looking for intake, heads and cam for street/strip. Wants it to fit under hood without cutting. Edelbrock 7105 intake looks like fits; anybody using it? Trickflow has a few heads with different volumes. Any suggestions on intakes/heads and cam for street/strip from folks using aftermarket parts?
SM69Mach 68 Report post Posted October 11, 2020 I am assuming he doesn't have a shaker set up? I am running box stock Edlebrock heads and Performer RPM intake with no shaker set up and have no hood clearance issues.

1969_Mach1 333 Report post Posted October 14, 2020 Just my 2 cents. I use an old Holley Street Dominator on a 390 in another project. It's a single plane low profile intake with the Holley 4150 flange. I can't say what the fitment would be with a shaker hood.
